Two seasons is not bad, especially for a show that had some high expecttaions with it.
Part of me wishes that The Comeback lasted even atleast for two seasons.

I was thinking about this show this weekend. I didn't hear ANYTHING about it this season. There seemed to be no talk at all. I saw most of season 1. It was a crap show, but Courteney Cox was fantastic and it had so much potential. I read they were gonna try to refocus for season 2, but I guess it didn't work.
But yeah, Cox was fantastic. I hope she moves on to another drama series.
Emmy FYC: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, The New Adventures Of Old Christine
What does this mean for The Riches? Both had shortened seasons this past year due to the strike and I don't think either did well with the ratings - I do hope The Riches will be back for a third season, especially given the way they left things.

I don't think this will hurt The Riches. They've gotten way more exposure due to Minnie Driver's Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
For Your Grammy Consideration:Blackout, Britney Spears

Season two was just as bad as season one, but alot less adictive, so this isn't a suprise. I do think it was in a tough timeslot, but the show deserved to be canceled. I think FX kept it around for a second season only because they didn't want to embarass Courtney Cox-Arqeutte since she was the star/producer and a former friend. The pilot was pretty good and had a lot of potentional, but rarely did it achieve it. Ian Hart was exceptional, and he was especially award-worthy in the second season premire.
Cox-Arquette is a great drama actress though, and she should try to get on another series, an ensemble so there's not so much pressure on her.
The Riches looks like it will be coming back, the President of FX seems really proud of it and was recently talking about how critically acclaimed it and damages were, despite the low ratings, and he renewed damages. It fits well with their network theme -simple premise, only serverly distrorted and unpredictable- too whereas Dirt really didn't. The Riches is a great take on the american dream whereas dirt was what you would expect from a show about tabloids.

I hope The Riches is renewed. I know a few of my friends got hooked on it this past mini-season, so hopefully we get a chance to see more and allow the fanbase to grow.

Part? How about ALL! The Comeback was awesome and I'm still mad at HBO for cancelling it, but I am still glad Lisa Kudrow scored an emmy nomination.
Talk about "kiss of death" actors (from the thread), try most of the "Friends" cast... (Cox Arquette, LeBlanc, Perry, even Kudrow...).
