I've been waiting months for this to premier. I saw a longer (2-3 minute) preview on nbc.com this summer and it looked hilarious. Plus, I'm a HUGE Joel McHale fan.

Gosh, I thought NBC had forgotten how to do pilots. That was one of my favorites of the last few years. It introduced the characters well, the cast already has chemistry, and it's nicely integrated without anyone being a token.
Oh, and it was funny. Well done.

I know about Ken Jeong, but who else from The Hangover is in this?
Oops. Someone had told me that the woman who played one of the officers who arrested the guys was in this, but I see from the credits it's a different actress.

I was not expecting much out of this show, but man was I surprised! This was one of the best and funniest pilots I've seen in a while. Is scripted television making a come-back? I sure hope so!

OK, I'm already hooked. Joel McHale was pitch perfect in the lead. Chevy Chase I think will be wonderful. Danny Pudi had me rolling. I can't wait til next week. I'm waiting for everyone else to get their chance to shine. Gillian Jacobs, I can already sense, will be a perfect complement to McHale. Yvette Nicole Brown is waiting for the chance to prove herself. Alison Brie seems to be a wonderful tightly wound bundle, Donald Glover looks like he will bring some humanity to the ****y jock. I hope I'm right and the show lives up to the promise put forth in the pilot.

Having now seen the pilot in full, I gotta say, a very strong start for the show. McHale is brilliant (as is Chase). However, Danny Pudi stole every scene he was in. He could be the breakout star of the show.
Can't wait for Professor Chang next week!
Oh, forgot to mention I liked the John Hughes tribute at the end.

I, too was not expecting alot out of this new series either, but I got a good introduction of the shows premise and its cast of characters.
It can only get better from this good start. Pilots are sometimes a hard sell to the viewing public, but Community and its showrunners and writing team have done a very good job at the genesis of bringing life to the show.
Maybe NBC will be able to bring back "Must-See-TV" for Thursday nights, maybe............
I really enjoyed the pilot and hope this series gets good enough ratings to last. I think Joel McHale and Chevy Chase might be considered possible Emmy nominees next year.
McHale doesn't have much of a chance with Alec Baldwin, Steve Carell, Larry David (fully expect him to be back and replace the Flight of the Conchords actor) Jim Parsons, Charlie Sheen, and Tony Shalhoub. Chevy Chase I think has a better chance.
Decent pilot, but I felt a little exhausted by it about halfway through. It didn't sell me with that pilot. I'll tune back in if it ends up lasting and being a critical hit.
