It's time for Sir Kevin's television awards, knighting the best in the television season.
Kicking it off:
Reality Host
Tyra Banks in America's Next Top Model Tom Bergeron in Dancing With the Stars Cat Deely in So You Think You Can Dance Padma Lakshmi in Top Chef Ryan Seacrest in American Idol
As the helmer of America's top competition Seacrest is exuberant, charming, and actually pretty funny. He's clever on the spot, bantering with Simon Cowell, and handles controversy with grace--see Paulagate. And he doesn't take himself too seriously, evidenced by his blink-and-you-miss-it breakdance during the finale.

As a talent competition, nothing approaches So You Think You Can Dance. These kids blow your mind week after week. Entertaining judges provide laughs, screams (courtesy of Mary Murphy), and Mia Michaels' offers heartfelt analysis and some of the most heart tugging dance routines.
Griffin is roariously funny as she allows you into the ins and out of her life. Her celebrity commentary is priceless, but more importantly she tackles and makes acceptable issues like homosexuality, insecurity, death, and marriage troubles. Griffin is larger than life, but the program makes her truly real.
Elizabeth Banks in Scrubs Polly Bergen in Desperate Housewives Sarah Chalke in How I Met Your Mother Carrie Fisher in 30 Rock Laurie Metcalf in The Big Bang Theory
Metcalf reinvents herself again as Leonard's hypocritically religious mother. The writing may be genius but Metcalf's delivery of them gives at least some explanation of how Jim Parsons' Leonard ended up the way he did...
Jessalyn Gilsig in Friday Night Lights Liz Mikel in Friday Night Lights Cynthia Nixon in Law & Order: SVU Jurnee Smollett in Grey's Anatomy Kate Walsh in Grey's Anatomy
While the other actresses were particularly affecting in their roles, Nixon is while portraying multiple roles, as a character with Disociative Identity Disorder. And the twist at the end, perfectly executed by a brilliant actress.
Stephen Collins in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Will Forte in How I Met Your Mother Kevin Rahm in Desperate Housewives Christopher Sieber in Pushing Daisies Dean Winters in 30 Rock
Connie Britton in Friday Night Lights Rachel Griffiths in Brothers & Sisters Elisabeth Moss in Mad Men Adrianne Palicki in Friday Night Lights Chandra Wilson in Grey's Anatomy
Britton doesn't have to bring anything to the field in the football drama, but she brings her A-game to every storyline thrown at her. Besides being emotinally affecting and mesmerizing in every scene, she has one of the most real portrayals of a wife and mother on television. She's the real stuff.
