I thought Britney looked hot. I'm so happy she's come this far, and let's not forget she did another good job with her role tonight. I wonder if the show will bring her back again or this will be the final appearance.

The note at the end definitely signals a return for her at some point down the road.

I missed the last scene...Tell me what happened?
Barney pretty much tells Abby that Ted has fallen in love with her. He writes down Ted's address and hands it to Abby. The show closes with Abby looking at the note and smiling with music playing that sounds like she has something up her sleeve.

but hey, they'll always be britney haters to take her down..
I'm far from a Britney hater. I'm just someone that can objectively look anyone's work. I don't have to love or hate anything by a particular person. "Blackout" was amazing. Her first appearance was solid. This was terrible, but I'm not even dissing Britney for that. I'm dissing the show. All the actors seem to be told to just act as goofy and over-the-top as possible.

What was fun and interesting the first time was just lame and boring the second time. I'm not dumping on Britney either but this whole storyline/2nd guest appearence was a lame attempt at a ratings boost.
I was a huge fan of "How I Met Your Mother," but the writing is terrible now and I'm wondering if it even deserves to be renewed?

While i don't agree that HIMYM shouldn't be renewed, i do think they had a very hit or miss (mostly miss) 3rd season when they needed to follow up their stellar second season with another one just as good.
But the show gets great ratings and i suspect that they are going to do something at the end of this season (concerning robin and ted and the mother) that will bring the show back to its roots.
I wonder though, has HIMYM ever been after Two and Half Men? Considering how well it does in the 18-49 demo(which is why i think cbs renewed it), i wonder if it could hold on to a larger portion in that demo than the rules of engagment or christine?
I agree. I thought Britney was cute the first time around, but she was better last night. She seemed much more comfortable, and I thought she had a lot of genuinely funny moments.
After a hit-and-miss season which necessitated CBS making a deal with Ray Wise (in his other persona as the Grand Guignol on 'Reaper') and hiring Britney Spears to stem the ratings beating they've taken from Dancing with the Has-Beens, their third campaign ends tonight, renewal for next season assured.
Miracles (season finale)
Ted gets in car accident that prompts Marshall to talk about how he's dodged various bullets over the years. Ultimately, that triggers recollections among the gang of prior moments where they stared that kind of adversity in the face.

I am so excited for the episode! The preview in Entertainment Weekly's Spring TV Preview issue said that the finale involves "actual compelling adult situations". Unfortunately, I don't think that will be good Ted. Being in his car accident and all.
Loved the finale! It set up some great storylines for next season with Barney falling for Robin and Ted asking Stella to marry him.
Marshal and Lily need something to do next season. Hannigan was severely underused tonight.
