It's sort of a necessary progression after highlighting him last season. They will prob try to position him as the next Matt, but with opposite issures. Sumpter is cute and engaging, but I'm not sure about his dramatic weight. This is the we'll see zone.
Congrats Kristen! All the PD haters can (SPOILER ALERT) Suck it!
Um, Connie hate to be the bearer of bad news but it really doesn't look like you will get nominated, your category is way too crowded. Just be happy you have a job and are really doing good work on your show. We fans still love you even if the Academy doesn't.

That would've been awesome. Any way to bring back the amazing Liz Mikel is fine by me.
I really hope they find some way to bring her back again. Maybe somebody will have a pregnancy scare and they'll have to go and see her down the clinic and she can dole out some her wonderful advice.
Saw this blind item posted on Oh No They Didn't and it sounds a lot like Jeremy Sumpter.
Talk about high school. This television show on a non traditional network is headed towards a meltdown. It turns out that one of the bigger stars coming into the show has been basically ignored since the middle of last season. Unless there are lines being spoken, no one talks to this actor. He hasn’t pulled a diva or done anything wrong, it’s just the rest of the cast doesn’t seem to like him or maybe it is something about him. It has got so bad that he just wants off the show and out of all their lives.
What do you guys think? It seems to fit (high school, non traditional network would be the DirecTV channel, new cast member). I don't know what other show it could be.

Given me being an apologist (I say that in the best possible way) for this show, I hope that they wouldn't fall into the category of actors spats on set. That of course happens on everything and given that recent examples are the of course Grey's Anatomy (I hope that Rhimes doesn't pull a Tina Fey and blasts me on national TV, even though I would deserve it lol, but when is that business going to win something. Oh I am bad!) and my late & great Desperate Housewives.

Yeah. I just watched The Giving Tree, which everyone seems to be suggesting for Ms. Britton to submit. Only problem with this episode, and it's a KEY thing, is that it's got some really bad direction.
THE KEY moment in her scene, the camera is kind of shooting the in-between space between Aimee Teegarden and the air. In any case, the camera is squarely on Ms. Teegarden through the whole big dramatic scene.
I think a much better choice (and I haven't finished the whole season yet) is New York, New York, where she's trying to get her husband to buy a new house, because it has a great dramatic scene between her and Kyle Chandler, and also the whole episode features her more prominently than many of the episodes. (As Ausiello and others have suggested.)
Remember, she has to be featured in a LOT of the episode, AND have a big emotional scene to beat others in this category.
The other one that would be awesome would be in Keeping Up Appearances, when she tries to convince the family that keeping their son in football is a good idea, and why her husband is so cool.

Not only that, but both seasons will be shot back to back.
Interesting! Thanks for the scoop Bazookka Joe! So you don't think Adrianne Palicki will be in Season 4 at all??? I can't wait for October 28th! Maybe with Peter Berg directing the premiere, we can rally for him to score another Directing nomination at the Emmys next year. My official goal is to get FNL nominated for more than just casting! haha
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
This news pleases me. ------------------------------------- Friday Night Lights exclusive: Matt's stay extended! by Michael Ausiello
Zach Gilford has scored more playing time on Friday Night Lights. Sources confirm to me exclusively that the actor’s season 4 farewell arc as Matt has been expanded from five to seven episodes.
According to my Panthers mole, Gilford’s run will likely fall during the first half of FNL’s 13-episode fourth season, which premieres on DirecTV Oct. 28 with an episode directed by series creator Peter Berg.
Does this news make you more or less pumped for FNL’s new season? I pretty much know the answer to that question but I figured I’d ask it anyway.
First new cast member!!!1 ------------------------------------------- Exclusive: Friday Night Lights recruits Lipstick Jungle hottie by Michael Ausiello
Has Friday Night Lights found its next Tim Riggins?
Lipstick Jungle’s Matt Lauria — he played Lindsay Price’s gay assistant on the late NBC soap — is joining the season 4 cast in the series regular role of Luke, a charming yet ****y junior who reluctantly finds himself playing for Coach Taylor’s East Dillon squad.
Luke is one of four new characters being introduced to help fill the void left by Adrianne Palicki, Minka Kelly, and Zach Gilford (who’ll now be returning for seven episodes.)
FNL’s 13-episode fourth season debuts Oct. 28 on DirecTV.
And we got another one! ---------------------------------- Exclusive: Friday Night Lights drafts Michael Jordan! by Michael Ausiello
No, not hoops legend Michael Jordan. Up-and-coming actor Michael B. Jordan!
The alum of All My Children and The Wire is joining Friday Night Lights as Vince, East Dillon’s resident troublemaker. Although charming at times, the junior running back can be dangerous and menacing — a result of his crime-riddled upbringing. He quickly finds himself at odds with the team’s new pretty boy Luke (played by the just-cast Matt Lauria).
