It's been the CW's most hyped show that has not translated into even marginally successful ratings. And if their network doesn't improve and fast, it may have to be switched to a new home. But for now, the curtain falls on a freshman season to remember.
Much 'I Do' About Nothing (season finale) Written by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage; directed by Norman Buckley
"It's not what I'm gonna do; it's who I'm gonna do it with."
Georgina Sparks, all-around psycho b-word, is a heartbeat away from Serena's boyfriend Dan, the final indignity she plans to drop on her former partner in wild-and-crazy. Any enemy of Serena's, however is an enemy of Blair Waldorf, as she along with Chuck take dead aim at ending G's misdeeds once and for all.
All of this, as the Upper East Side's social event of the year - Lily's wedding to Bart Bass - is as close to the abyss' edge as it gets.

To be quite fair, this show has been probably one of the best 3-5 drama series of the season so I am glad it has its own thread. It has already had two stellar episodes that deserve writing/directing noms: the fall of Blair eppy where everyone finds out about Nate and Chuck, and the fall of Jenny eppy where everyone finds out about her gay bf. Don't reckon any members of the cast will be anywhere near nominations but kudos to all cast members save for Crawford and the guy who plays Dan 'cos they have always managed to stink up the joint. Anyway, looking forward to this ****, and all analogies to the actual high school experience interestingly still persist.
"Deadwood was defiantly and noisily unlike anything else on television.", Tom Shales "It’s very rare to see a television show that revolves around three generations of strong, smart, opinionated women, let alone one that was so well written and acted...Gilmore Girls! TV is going to be a lot less witty without you", Roxanne Connolly
I liked last week's episode better. This one was okay, but it was no where near as good as this show can do. Then again, I am not a teen girl, so perhaps the CW doesn't care what I think. LOL.
Anyway, I think the CW is right in sticking with this show. It is a very good show. The quality of the writing is much higher than I expected. I think it is wonderfully entertaining. And Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are fabulous young actresses.

Blake Lively is an airhead. Check out this clip that aired on The Soup. Blake and America Ferrera are being interviewed about Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2. The convo turns to GG and Blake starts discussing. America looks over at her like what the eff?
Now I am not a fan of America Ferrera on Ugly Betty at all and think her nomination this year was completely undeserved. This however is a funny clip:

Emmys FYC: Lead Actress Comedy Please view the actual tape submissions and reward for quality...
...Not because of buzz ...Not because the nominee has 3 other Emmy noms ...Not 'cause the nominee is a writer so this would be great after the writer's strike ...Not because the nominee starred in a movie this spring.
Please view the actual tape and reward for QUALITY.
America was looking at Blake like "B*tch I am goin to cut you when this is over."
Don't yall think it's kind of ironic how when the first movie came out Alexis & amber were the it girls and now its America & Blake.
Yeah I just started a controversy.
