Shoreh Aghdashloo's win on Youtube is approaching nearly 100,000 views in less than 10 days after the ceremony.

That is extrordinary considering she won for a relatively unknown mini series in a category that producers tried to pre empt because they deemed it to be so minor.

The only other Emmy win on Youtube that has a large view level is Kristen Chenoweth's with 60,000 views.

Most others have a modest view level ranging from a couple thousand to 11,000.

There are Oscar wins that have been up on the Oscar Youtube channel for months that havent even reached that view level and others took nearly a year to get to 100,000 views.

It appears Ms. Aghdashloo's win was a very big deal in the Muslim world and in her native Iran. Perhaps it should have been a bigger deal in the media than it was. Perhaps they were too busy covering other big Entertainment stories like super talented Khloe Karadashian's wedding or Robert Pattinson walking on a street.

A bunch of my friends and not so friends were live twitting the Emmys just for fun....NONE OF THEM could stop talking about the way she was talking and her heavy breathing...

I was used to it having seen her many times before and primarily knowing who she was, which couldn't be said for many of those that were on Twitter that day...

Maybe that's one of the reasons she's been clicked so much on You Tube. I think her pauses grew longer than before and her breathing stronger. Plus she's a total MILF which was also said several times when she won.

Not even here in Agdashloo's fanboy land people noticed this youtube thing, why would the media? And again, nobody knows who she is (outside of places like this), nobody cares, sadly the same can't be said for the wedding of a reality star or the star of a silly useless movie.

Well it could have been her breathing now that I think about it but 100,000 views just for that? I dont know, something else has to be at play.

I was at the Emmy's and I didn't even notice this.

Chenowith was adorable though on a side note.

She's probably more popular internationally
than domestically, which helps out a lot. And of course she has tons of fans in Iran, so that makes sense.

I think it helps her out a lot though that she gave the best speech of the night. Out of all of the winners, hers was amazing, and it was one of the few that sounded as if it could have been a speech given at the Oscars.

I'm confused as to why you think the media SHOULD make a big deal out of Aghdashloo's win...like you said it was for supporting actress in a realively unseen mini series.

I'd say that those YouTube hits for her Emmy speech have more to do with Shohreh being a global personality (especially in the Middle East) more so than her speech wheezing. That's such an incidental thing that not everyone even noticed unless specifically pointed out to them. Then there's her fanbase that she's amassed through the years, and those that remember her as an Oscar nominee (for another "House of . . ." work -- that seems to be a good omen for her). Also general Emmy fans, those that might be interested in the winners but didn't watch/missed the telecast, the diehards that just want to see replays of acceptance speeches over and over again, fans that did love "House of Saddam," etc. She's making history for Iran, so it's not a surprise that people would be interested in that. I'm glad that she won and is getting noticed more regardless of the reasons. She's such a stellar actress, and this was one of my favorite Emmy wins of the year. She rocked it in "House of Saddam."

I didnt say they should make a big deal out of her win.

But I for one would love to have known what the aspiring artists and other citizens in Iran, many who were murdered in the streets this summer, thought of an Iranian actress winning a major award in Hollywood and what they thought of seeing an Iranian embraced by the American film industry especially seeing the 2 countries may very well be at war within a year.

Obviously Seacrest Inc at E! is a lost cause, but I think CNN missed the ball.

It was one of the better speeches of the night. :-) I guess the first thing you'll notice was her heavy breathing but in the end, she was a famous personality especially in the Middle East and it was a big thing for them to see her win one.

Love the part where she said (not exact though) that she'll treasure it in a way none of them will think she'll do.

I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

Did any Shohreh fans catch her in a brief scene on one of the season's most buzzed-about new shows last night? Seems like she's doing alright for herself. I haven't seen the miniseries, but she's a terrific actress with her performances in "24" and "House of Sand and Fog" (and even the short-lived CBS show "Smith"). Her speech was one of the highlights of the Emmys.
