I Thought of this thread after realizing so many people should have emmys for great performances in television over the years.
My Personal Faves are Daniel Davis, Lauren Lane & Fran Drescher of "The Nanny" and The Show Itself. This show is so underrated, It was excellent and has some great emmy moments. Davis & Lane are the Jack & Karen of this show without a doubt and all of them should have emmy awards.
Others are Annie Potts, Dixie Carter & Delta Burke for thier work in designing women especially Dixie Carter.
Courtney Cox-Arquette is a big one for me because she really did deserbe at least a nod.
Kristin Bell for her work in "Veronica Mars"
Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham & Kelly Bishop of Gilmore Girls
Many People Are Gonna Think I'm Crazy, but Holly Marie Combs has some great performances in "Charmed"
Sarah Michelle Gellar for her work in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Many of the Cast Members of "Everwood" & The Show Itself.
EVERYTHING ABOUT "THE WIRE" & "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA"!
Kurtwood Smith & Debra Jo Rupp of That 70 Show should probably have emmys.
Who Else

Definitley Dixie Carter. Sure, her role was a bit hammy and overly political, but she played it well and when she was given comedy she knocked it out of the park. And her long speeches were always hilarious (or maybe that's because i think of 30 rock everytime she gives one).
Lauren Lane played a role that voters love - mean, villanious, supporting character in a comedy series - i'm shocked she was never nominated.
Amy Acker, who besides Drea De Matteo, gave the best performance of the 2003-2004 season (in her category). Wow did she have range.
Nip/Tuck in series for its first two seasons. And, Jolie Richardson for her performance during the first two seasons. She should have taken home the gold in 2005, her performance in "Julie McNamara" was fantastic. Julian McMahon was good during seasons 1,2 and 3 as well.
Stephanie March on Law & Order: SVU. I hate the L&O franchise, but she was great.
Leah Remini, who was underrated and got pegged as just another hot wife/fat husband sitcom actress, when she was leading the pack and was one of the best actresses in that genre and the category as a whole.
Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop are a given in any thread like this. Do we even need to mention their names?
Roger Rees on "The West Wing". How was he not nominated in the Guest Actor Category?
Add Glenn Close to for her performance in "The Supremes" on TWW. She seemed like the frontrunner to win the cateogry and she didn't even get a nomination. She helped to breathe life into the show and kicked started it again.
ROSEANNE never being nominated for best comedy series is the biggest omission in Emmy history. The fact that HOME IMPROVEMENT got a series nod or two and not ROSEANNE is preposterous!
I realize he had one Emmy nomination, but it was for his weakest season where he didn't have anything to do. There is no reason he shouldn't have a few Emmys from the early seasons of the show.
The Dennis Haysbet and Penny Johnson Jerald snubs will always be a mistery.
I agree with the original post about The Nanny. But then again these people never got an Emmy episode, they basically got one-liners and that was it. They were amazing but they were never written that good in terms of a storyline. Then again neither was Sylvia Fine and Renee Taylor got nominated so...
Courtney Cox was a matter of chance....When she was stellar and they were in the supporting categories, Friends wasn't getting any attention and people were forever focused on Lisa Kudrow. When they went lead, she basically fell to third place yet again and well...she had to live with the huge mistake of them all going lead....
John C McGinley to me is a bigger mistery then the 24 people....It's such an Emmy character, it's something they would've easily eaten up, and it seems like the typical case when a supporting player gets all the attention and not the show or the leads....sort of like Lisa Kudrow....but for some reason people never payed attention to him...I doubt he has one nomination anywhere for this character...
I also think Leah Remini was snubbed....her's was a great character, and just like Patricia Heaton, she should've gotten nominated....Sure Raymond had more quality and was more of an Emmy-type show, but King of Queens should've gotten more attention than that puzzling Kevin James nomination...
And my all time favorites for this incredibly repetitive thread: Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp....those two and their lack of Emmy nods is just ridiculuos....specially over some of the people that did make the category during their time on That 70's show....Cheryl Hines for example....
I disagree with your statement that she fell to third place after they went lead. She was fantastic during the last season, had competitive tapes, and a great storyline. Although the show ended focusing on rachel and ross, it was her and perry's storyline that really drove the show foward that season. She also had a bit of buzz too. I was shocked on emmy morning when they called aniston's name and not hers.
Many People Are Gonna Think I'm Crazy, but Holly Marie Combs has some great performances in "Charmed"
Um, I TOTALLY agree right here. The episodes at the beginning of season 4 dealing with the aftermath of Prue's death and Paige's arrival had some great stuff by Holly. I am having a Charmed marathon that I started a couple of months back and I recently watched the first 5 episodes of season 4 last weekend. Episode 3 "Hell Hath No Fury" had me in tears by the end of the episode. Great performance from her. And who can forget the season finale of season 3...WOW! Sorry, you can tell I am a HUGE fan...haha
I've always thought Debra Jo Rupp was deserving for That 70's Show.
I also think Sarah Chalke is one of television's best actresses. She does quirky/funny better than anyone I've seen and MAN can she nail the drama too. Her admission to suicide attempts in My Fishbowl was inspiring.
Of course of course Courtney Cox Arquette and Lauren Graham/Kelly Bishop.
Peri Gilpin and Jane Leeves. I'm surprised they were never swept up in the Frasier bonanza.
I've thought Maura Tierney has been Emmy worthy more than just her one nod.
It was a short lived series but Peter Krause and Josh Malina on Sports Night were deserving of consideration just as much as Felicty Huffman.
Dan Futterman on Judging Amy was always a highlight for me, just as much as Tyne Daly or Amy Brenneman.

I'm really surprised she didn't get the nod for the last season. I remember a lot of people thinking it was going to go her way that morning, but Aniston got the nod instead. I think if the current system was in place back then, Cox would have received the nod in the final season as well as nods in the earlier years. She deserved nods for seasons 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10.
Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Lauren Ambrose and Rachel Griffiths. Where are their Emmys?!
No Six Feet Under and The Shield in 2006, no Deadwood and The Shield in 2007, no Big Love in 2008..how the best shows don't even make the top ten list?
I agree about the mentions of the "Designing Women" cast, but want to especially mention Jean Smart who i felt was the glue that held that show together for most of it's run (until she left). She was so charming, funny and genuine. The entire cast was excellent and deserved more emmy attention but imho Smart was even more deserving of being nominated.
I also think that it's a shame that while nominated multiple times Faith Ford never once won for her work on "Murphy Brown".
The WB network in it's hey day was so terribly overlooked for excellent performances on "Felicity", "Dawson's Creek", "buffy, the vampire slayer", "everwood", "gilmore girls" and "popular".
How I Met Your Mother is a show who i feel deserves more attention currently. It's young cast is talented, appealing and does a excellent job with their material.
Considering how many years she's been working i also can't fathom how neither Annie Potts, Heather Locklear or Cybill Shepherd have never won emmys.

Shoreh Agdashloo, 24 (season 4) Penny Johnson Jerald, 24 (season 3) Reiko Ayelsworth, 24 (season 3) John C. McGinley, Scrubs (seasons 2-5) Sarah Chalke, Scrubs (season 4 & 5) Courtney Cox-Arquette, Friends (seasons 8 & 10) Maura Tierney, ER (several seasons including this year, she should have more than 1 nom) Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season 5) Keri Russel, Felicity, (season 1) Dixie Carter, Designing Women, season (2-4) Jane Krakowski, Ally McBeal (season 2)
I also think that it's a shame that while nominated multiple times Faith Ford never once won for her work on "Murphy Brown".
I agree. I actually think the big problem, is that while she garnered 5 nominations, none of them were for her best seasons. She had winning tapes in season 5 and season 7. She was the best thing about season 5, and was snubbed only to be nominated for season 6, when she did nothing.
I agree with the popular comments as well. It was a great satire, and i think it would have been successful on cable. They deserved some writing/directing noms.
I agree with most of those listed, and think the biggest travesty has to be Roseanne not being nominated (never mind not winning?)
Did Gavin MacLeod ever get nominated for Murray Slaughter on MTM? I know he was the one who never won an Emmy out of the entire cast, but was he ever nominated? (Not that I think that's a miscarriage as I hated Murray as a character and think he should have been written as the "gay man archtype character" in today's world the way he was such a bitch).
Dixie was great, Delta should have had more nominations too, as well as Jean and Annie. Such an underrated show and when the HECK is it coming out on dvd?
Marcia Cross should have at least one emmy too, since no one has mentioned it yet. At least she was nominated once.
MARCIA CROSS! Dang, this woman haven't even got an individual SAG nom when in fact, she's the most consistent since the start of the show. No Globe, no individual SAG, no Emmy! One Satellite and people dont even know what's that. She haven't even made a speech I think.
COURTENEY COX/MATTHEW PERRY Oh yes, count me in to the Friends fansclub. though I was expcting that more than one Friend would make it, it's sad that only Aniston made it. Even Matthew Perry didnt get enough awards recognition.
KRISTIN DAVIS Yes, she's the weakest among the Sex and the City women but in a year when even the likes of Wendie Malick gets nommed for Just Shoot Me, Davis gives consistent performances especially with the Trey storyline.
They all have SAGs for Ensemble but they deserve to have individual awarsd as well.
FYC EMMY VOTERS!!!
Please consider the following performances:
Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) Julia Louis Dreyfus (New Adventures of Old Christine) Steve Carell (The Office) Hugh Laurie (House) Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother)
