Tom, I thought nominations were announced on Thursday the 17th.
Emmys FYC: Lead Actress Comedy Please view the actual tape submissions and reward for quality...
...Not because of buzz ...Not because the nominee has 3 other Emmy noms ...Not 'cause the nominee is a writer so this would be great after the writer's strike ...Not because the nominee starred in a movie this spring.
Please view the actual tape and reward for QUALITY.

E!'s coverage last year was really bad. That girl that took Kristen's place was horrible, and I don't think she had any idea what she was talking about.
After the nominations are announced, the people on E! always bitch about the shows and people that were left off the list, and half the time it's shows and people who didn't really have a chance in the first place. They concentrated more on the people who were left off instead of the people who actually got nominated.

I don't watch E! so haven't a clue about their coverage. Though when you think about it, sometimes you can't help but be frustrated when some of the same old tired nominees are called on the day. 'Specially when there are others that deserved a nom.
For example, some said that Weeds' last season was lacklustre. Some even said that Mary Louise Parker wasn't deserving of awards consideration this year but she got the Golden Globe and SAG noms anyway. Now just watch her get nominated again next week.

As a Weeds fan I think that I can say that the third season wasn't the best but that Mary-Louise Parker always turns in great performances. She should totally make it into the Top 5 in her category.
I don't think that your show as a whole has to be amazing for you to be considered for an Acting award. The prize isn't called Outstanding Performance by an Actress in an Outstanding Comedy Series. It should be about the work that the Actor does, not about if the show isn't having its best season.

I actually am a weeds fan and i wouldn't put her in the top 5 for her third season (she's 6th).
She wasn't as funny, or illuminating as she typically is. She started off and ended the year really strong, but other than that she was just okay. It's not that she was bad for me, there were just 5 other actresses who were better.
I thought she was deserving of a win in 2006 and 2007. Her performance during those seasons were breathtakingly beautiful.
On another note, who is the person who replaced Kristin on E! last year?
Awardshq if you believe that Mary-Louise belongs in the top 5 this year, who else should make it in with her?
She was a blonde I think G. Penn.

Julia Louis Dreyfus - The New Adventures of Old Christine Tina Fey - 30 Rock Mary-Louise Parker - Weeds Christina Applegate - Samantha Who? and Either Felicity or Marcia
The thing about E! is that I used to love Kristin until she became a fangirl and don't get me stated on that chick who came on last yr. So I'll be watching CNN on Thurs. for sure.
