NBC has decided apparently (according to: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/...spx?id=20090312nbc03) to revive the reality series "I'm a Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!" which as you may recall was broadcast by ABC in this country several years ago. It was horrible in every aspect.
It is going to air first on June 8th, 2009.
This show was literally horrible.
This is part of NBC's summer programming schedule.
thoughts?

Of all the networks, NBC is surely the most desperate. Heck, they revived that dessicated corpse "The Apprentice" because they just can't grab a foothold in the ratings. So this is par for the course.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
i don't mind good reality shows like "The Amazing Race", "American Idol" or even "EM: Home Edition" all of which can be very well produced and add something of value to the world. Ditto shows like "Real Housewives...", "Kathy Griffin" etc that are at least entertaining. BUT i cannot stand mindless shows that serve no purpose---and this was literally the worst pile of crap i've ever seen in my life. The execution was beyond horrible and was a pile of utter crap. It just wasn't suited well for the American audience.
