The new Wanda Sykes comedy special, "I'ma Be Me," airs tonight on HBO starting at 10 PM ET. This could be a Variety Special contender for next year, and she has her fair share of fans here.

"White people are looking at you!" LoL. Wanda held next to nothing back here, and most of her riffs were crazy great. It was a bit lenghty, and there was a lot of Obama stuff, but the material was spot-on and hilarious. She should at least get a writing nomination out of this next year, and hopefully Variety Special too.

I've finished most of the special, but it is pretty hilarious.
Her riff on dumb Americans and "So You Think You're Smarter Than A 5th Grader" is hysterical. I had to hit the rewind button and made my roommate watch.
I loved the tap-dancing part too, the whole Bojangles joke. And the part about her baby, mixing a drink while watching her baby, and her wife not allowing the baby to watch TV.

It has already played a handful of times so I assume it will continue to play throughout the month. I would also think you could watch it on HBO ON DEMAND.

Thanks, pacinofan. I always forget about the On Demand feature. I love Sykes. I still remember that bit in her last special about her elderly aunt on the street tricking for scrips! Laughed so hard, I was crying.
Without giving too much away for those that haven't seen it:
I am headed to Hawaii on Thursday. My Ethel has already started demanding guava mimosas and pineapple pancakes and we haven't even gotten on the plane!!

Watched this last night on demand, and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Wanda is freaking hilarious! So many great parts. I laughed so hard I was crying during some segments. The whole bit about getting waxed.
She is so talented. And congrats on coming out, Wanda.
