I see Scout's point completely. Most often it just seems to be about:

- Being a big Hollywood name
- Being popular in the media
- Being previous Emmy nominee/winner or awards darling

Although Bryan Cranston's Lead Actor Drama win was a pleasant surprise last year. Almost as if the Emmy voters actually watched the tapes in that category. Gee what a concept. Cool

Bottom line, it will be the same tired bunch of nominees and winners again this year.

I think she is deserving, but I honestly forgot about her as I made my predictions. I'm afraid a lot of people are going to pass her up since her show is canceled.

And I'm sure Amy Poehler is eligible for Saturday Night Live. I think the panel really helped her last year, so I'm not sure about her nod this year. Maybe for Parks and Recreation?

Really except that voters knew Pushing Daisies would be back, its really in the same boat it was last year. This year and last it ended before Christmas, but last year it still managed to get 12 nominations. While I don't think it will get as many this year, I do think Chenoweth will get in not only b/c she was outstanding, but because she is poping up everywhere and seems to be very respected. It kind of reminds me how Blythe Danner got nominated for Huff, even though it had been canceled.
