I haven't seen it either, but considering the Supporting Actress category is fairly a weaker one, I think Thurman could get in just by name alone.
I think I read somewhere that Thurman's part was a supporting role, but I have not seen the film, so I really can't say anything...
But if Ellen Burstyn can get nominated for 13 seconds, then I think Uma Thurman could possibly get nominated for this.

Um, 24 wasn't "passed over." It's been nominated ever season it's been eligible (since it was first nominated). It's just that the writers strike took it off the plate for an Emmy season.

Actually the 6th Season (2006-2007) was not nominated for Best Drama Series. 24 received 6 nominations that year, but not one for Best Drama Series.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories

She is the co-lead of that boring thing
The trailer did seem very boring, but could she end up passing as supporting? Spot filler?

Uma won a golden globe for "Hysterical Blindness" in 2003 and the film got multiple acting noms and voters still didn't nominate. I don't think she's as popular as someone like Ellen Burstyn. Voters obviously feel that they have to nominate her, so she might get left out for 'My Zinc Bed'.

Maybe. You make a good point though...

Actually I just did a bit of research on that year to find out why she wasn't nommed, and the globe and emmy lineups were completley different since most of the big contender's films aired in 2003.
Thurman was up against what would make a great oscar lineup: Helen Mirren Maggie Smith(winner) Jessica Lange Helena Bonham Carter
and Thora Birch who was fantastic in her lifetime film(that was very un-Lifetime) that got nominated in the MTM, had critical raves, and probably a huge campaign.
Thurman isn't unpopular with the tv academy like i thought, she's just unlucky. She'll probably get in this year(she looked decent in the trailer).

She did look decent, but the film looks boring. I guess the only thing My Zinc Bed has going for it is that it is by David Hare, who was just nominated for The Reader and The Hours. If Uma wants to get nominated for the Emmy this year, she should enter herself in the Supporting category...
