Only half-decent. The episode started off ridiculously well. The opening (and the accompanying closing) was hilarious, as was Michael as Willy Wonka. I thought it started to run out of steam as it went along, but Jim and Pam are still so freakin hilarious adding fuel to the fire of whatever is happening (Jim talking about Dwight loving Willy Wonka, Pam hugging Dwight). I also loved Pam still deadpan transcribing Michael and Dwight's crazy inventions. B-

I thought it was better than last weeks episode. Michael in the Willy Wonka outfit was great, as was the knock, knock bit at the beginning (and end). However, if Carell submits this, it'll show why he's never won an Emmy. Michael was a total ass in this episode. No redeeming qualities to him whatsoever.

I actually LOVED this episode. The "KGB" opening, the Michael/Dwight back and forths, Jam vs Andy trying to give Kevin advice...I thought it all worked and was really funny. I know this tape would never work for Emmy voters but I think it shows how great Krasinski & Fischer are in their roles. The show really needs to win the writing emmy this year!

I liked the scenes where Andy, Jim, and Pam tried to give advice to Kevin for his date, and Michael as Willy Wonka was the best scenes for Steve Carell. But I didn't like Michael trying to get Dwight to take the fall for his golden ticket idea with corporate, and then do a 180 like that when the idea ended up being a good one. It was expected Michael behavior, but it didn't place him in the best light, and all of that dragged on for too long too.
Grade for "Golden Ticket": B-
