From etonline.com...

The buzz for the "Saturday Night Live" season premiere this weekend just got a lot bigger! Not only is Olympic champ Michael Phelps hosting, but Barack Obama is slated to make a guest appearance.

People magazine says that Obama will fly in from New Hampshire to be "live from New York," but the extent of his on-air involvement is not yet known.

"The details of the sketch are still being worked out," Obama's campaign tells the mag.

The Democratic presidential hopeful previously appeared on "SNL" during the primary in sketch where Amy Poehler played Hillary Clinton.

I don't see why Wiig wouldn't read as Palin.

Unless she's got a better routine as Cindy McCain

hello all. I am currently sitting in line for SNL (it's cold!) and have been since last night. Apparently, I have the choice of getting either dress rehersal or live-taping tickets... My cavalcade and I are torn over which tickets to take (were worried the live taping is harder to get into). Does anyone who has done this have any suggestions for which tickets to take?

I've heard from people that the dress rehearsals are better because you see more sketches, but you may enjoy the live show.

Kings of Leon!

WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

I disagree with that, but that's my opinion. I mean, he was OK in Pineapple Express, but 2nd funniest performance of the summer? I thought Ben Stiller was funnier than Franco.

IMO, I would say definately at least the 2nd funniest of the summer...if not the funniest. I dont think its a bad choice for SNL at all.

Aintitcool is confirming that Tina Fey will be back tonight to play Sarah Palin.

UPDATE!! No SNL For Barack Obama, But Tina Fey Makes Her Sarah Palin Debut Tonight!!

I am – Hercules!!

Don't believe those press reports telling you Barack Obama is appearing on tonight's SNL; he's busy dealing with Hurricane Ike. The good news, according to network insider "The Phantom of 8H," is Tina Fey is indeed back at SNL tonight to play Sarah Palin. 11:30 p.m. Saturday. NBC.
