Matt Albie was nothing like Chandler, and this new character he's doing on Showtime doesn't sound anything like Chandler either. Jennifer Aniston has proven her range with "The Good Girl" and "Friends With Money." I think that she could handle headlining either a comedy or a drama series, though I'd much rather see her do the former.

30 Rock is amazing, indeed, but I thought there were funnier comedies last week (The Office and Old Christine come to mind). I just thought the latest episode was very, very dull. Hopefully, it picks up this week.

Yeah, with a clunker like this, it's already dropped to #3 in quality for me for the season behind "The Office" and "Old Christine", who haven't made a misstep like this so far.

I don't know what it is about Jennifer Aniston, but i was never impressed with her acting chops. I didn't buy her attempts to break her Rachel image. For me, those were epic fails. We all know "Rock Star" was a big fat flop. And so was "Derailed".

There's always something with the way she acts. It's her reactions, it's the way she delivers her lines. it's like she constantly whips out these little Rachel-isms and falls back on them. I appreciate the effort to break free from Rachel Green, but it just doesn't work for me. Even in movies like "The Good Girl", a little bit of Rachel comes out.

I guess I'm just not a Jennifer Aniston fan. Even when she was on "Friends", Rachel was my least favorite female friend. (Monica was 1st, then Phoebe, then Rachel.)

She's definitely better in comedic roles than dramatic ones, but I don't think she's been playing Rachel Green in everything she's done post-"Friends" either, and she can show range when given the opportunity.

...Because Matthew Perry is a very, very limited actor. In the sixth season finale of "Friends" he had a big crying scene and it was awful. His crying seemed so phony...almost laughable.

I thought Matthew Perry managed to show different range in The West Wing (2 Emmy nods) and ThenRon Clark Story (Emmy-nominated). I also enjoyed him on Studio 60,

I don't watch 'Christine' but I don't think 'The Office' has been very consistent this season. 'Baby Shower' and 'Employee Transfer' were not great, especially the latter, so I don't think consistency is TO's forte either. Besides they are completely different comedies.

3x03 was alright, if not underwhelming. It's weird that this was written by the guy who gave us 'Never go with a hippie to a second location' and probably one of the greatest 3 mins of comedy ever. The Jack/Liz ending was sweet as always. Love their relationship.

An okay episode. Nothing to write home about. Actually pretty boring. The only funny part was when Gavin shut the door on the guard in the mansion and told Liz what was really going on and then got tackled to the ground. Good job by Steve Martin there.

The Tracy bit just sucked and wasn't entertaining.

Alec Baldwin was his usual awesome self, nothing award worthy.

Tina Fey was simply like the pimple on my face - just there. zzzz

Episode Grade: C for Could have been a lot better.

Agreed Steve Martin was pretty great. I don't know if he was entirely emmy worthy but you know he'll at least get nominated cause he's Steve Martin.

Tracy's storyline was bizarre. He shouldn't have plot lines all to himself. He needs people to balance him.

I loved most of the jokes though. The gymnast bit. Liz wanting to date an agrophobe. Stop patricide-ing! Take a helicopter to the train station ect.

Grade: B+ (cause I liked the writing.)
MPV: ...no one really. Maybe Steve Martin. Alec was pretty good too.

(Was it just me or did Tina look exhausted? Not gonna lie... not her best. Must have been filmed during the Palin days.)

Excuses, excuses. If Tina couldn't handle the extra "work", then she shouldn't have taken it on.

But I think that the key issue here is the fact that when Tina is at her best, she's just not that great. Everyone, including the media will begin to come to their senses.

I wasn't making excuses. I was just saying Tina was waaaaay off her game tonight. I think the witting saved her a lot though, so she was still pretty funny.

And she didn't even want to do Palin at first. She did it largely out of respect for Lorne and SNL cause she's classy like that. (Probably paid well too :P) She did get annoyed and tired with it towards the end like...hey I have a TV show too.

Good think Alec Baldwin's there to back her up.

Liz: Historical fiction?
Jack: What if the Germans won, Lemon?

Great delivery, Mr. Baldwin.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar
and altogether quite impossible to describe.

What do you mean by "come to their senses"? Having the same opinion as you? roflmao

You have every right to think Tina Fey is the worst actress in the world. Just, please, understand that not everyone will agree with you and stop talking like those people are wrong or out of their minds.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Yes, I was upset when she lost, but we're different for 2 reasons:

1 - I have already let it go. So what if she didn't win? It's not like she never wins anything.

2 - I don't keep saying the same thing over and over again as if my grumpy rants on this forum would change anything. And I certainly do not call people who disagree with me crazy, stupid or whatever.

About the episode, I'll only be able to watch it tomorrow. I can't wait!

No you can't. I think Tina Fey should have won, but I totally see how RDJ deserved it too.

Well maybe you can wait pizza because it wasn't the best episode.

I don't recall ever calling anyone crazy or stupid or whatever.

Maybe not you then, but some people were acting as if those of us who were glad that Tina wasn't crowned #1 were foolish.

I'm always excited for new episodes. And we have very different opinions about things, maybe our opinion will be different in this case too.

When you say "Everyone, including the media will begin to come to their senses", you are basically saying that they were out of their minds for thinking she deserved the kudos she got. Or did I completely misunderstand your previous post?
