how come younger actors are never nominated for primetime emmys? I mean especially in the supporting races, I think back to "once and again" and evan rachel wood and julia whalen should have gotten nominations but instead we get the same people every year

I used to be all for this, but now not so much. I will say that there's more of a need for it in daytime, even though the talent has gone from shinning to just average.

This decade alone we seen nominees like Frankie Muniz, Hannah Gordon, and Lauren Ambrose and winner America Ferrera.

And I do think that if we had a category like this we would've seen Emmy winner in front of talents like Alison Pill & Sarah Hyland.
