Medium should definitely get a nod for Best Drama this year. If it doesn't, then there is no justice in the world. My picks for consideration:

1. Four Dreams,1&2
2. Be Kind, Rewind
3. Mother's Little Helper
4. The One Behind the Wheel

Lead Actress in a Drama: Patricia Arquette
1. Be Kind, Rewind
2. The One Behind the Wheel

Lead Actor in a Drama: Jake Weber
1. Four Dreams, 1&2
2. The One Behind the Wheel

Supporting Actress in a Drama: Sofia Vassilieva
1. Be Kind, Rewind
2. Mother's Little Helper

Those are my mid-season picks, but having seen what's coming up, I suspect there is better work forthcoming from this talented group, if that's even possible. It's time this show and its talented pool of actors gets recognized, all of them.

No one really seemed to answer this for you definitively. So here's the deal. The Emmy season is from June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. Shows airing between that time period are eligible. Before or after are not.

The biggest offender to mess this up is HBO, who doesn't seem to notice or care when Emmy season starts or ends. Thus, we get the finale of Season Six of The Sopranos, which is eligible this Emmy season, because they stupidly aired it on June 4. And their Golden Globe nominated Best Drama Series, Big Love, has only one eligible episode, the finale of last season "The Ceremony" which also stupidly aired on June 4.

I believe you have to have six episodes within the time frame to be eligible for consideration. Hence Showtime's Huff, which had only four, is out of the running.

This season's Sopranos, the big finale, as someone mentioned (I think it was Atypical), now that it's starting its run in April, the big finale, and you know they'll have one, will be out of contention for Emmy consideration. As will any actors' performances in these episodes.

You would think by now that HBO would buy a clue.

Season Four of The Wire is totally eligible, as is Season Three of Deadwood. The whole long season of Entourage is eligible as well.

HBO has messed up The Sopranos since the beginning though, often airing the powerhouse season finale after the time period, then someone forgets that it's still eligible for the next Emmy season, so they don't submit it.

Clueless morons, I swear.

I checked the airdates on the Sopranos they will be able to air their last season of eight epsiodes before the May 31st deadline

Trust me. I hold no delusions that any of that will happen, simply because I have no faith in the Emmy voting process. That's just what I would LIKE to see happen. I'll even be surprised if Patricia Arquette gets a nomination, not that I don't think she deserves it. The only thing the Emmy voters could do at this point is shock me by nominating her, much less Jake Weber, or Heaven forbid, anybody besides someone from Grey's Anatomy.

I was surprised to see today that 'Medium' is on the bubble to be cancelled. I had thought that it was doing well in the ratings. I've never seen it, but this news surprised me.

It is shocking to think that a show this good may not get a fourth season, but if it doesn't, it's only because of the way NBC has mishandled it. Moving it to Wednesdays against Lost and CSI:NY was one of the dumbest programming moves in the history of dumb programming moves. Especially so they could try out something as awful as Studio 60. Don't get me wrong. I tried to watch Studio 60, but I just couldn't. I hated it.
And as far as Medium's ratings, if NBC does cancel it, then the fans should raise such an uproar as has never been heard by a network, simply because they just renewed Las Vegas, which is getting almost the exact same ratings as Medium, in a time slot with no competition, where Medium is on one of the toughest nights of the week, in one of the toughest spots. JMO.
