Bottom line: the executive committee hasn't voted yet, but I hear that it's pretty much a done deal. The academy promises to call me pronto on Friday to give us the lists so we can post them IMMEDIATELY. At this point, I don't know what time of day yet. Stay tuned.
Of course, we can pat ourselves on the backs and take full credit for this decision toward full disclosure. Basically, I told ATAS that, yes, we fully planned to blab the Top 10 lists again this year just as we always have. So they're gonna be good sports about it now and just do the blabbing themselves. Yeah, yeah, that's gonna ruin our fun this year, but we made our point in the past, they heard us, and now they're agreeing with us.
CONGRATS TO GOLD DERBY! And many THANKS to Emmy jurors in these forums who helped us to gather the info in past years. Ya done good, comrades!
Oh, yeah, one last thing: yes, I will divulge additional info that others don't have, but we do. THE ACTUAL, DEFINITE, OFFICIAL EPISODE TITLES. I don't think the acad plans to unveil those on Friday. So we'll still be doing a bit of tattling. We gotta be a BIT naughty still, eh?

That's pretty cool and I hope they are indeed released on Friday. I'm actually surprised it took them THIS long to do it themselves. I guess they figured it'd be uncovered anyway, so it would save everyone time to just release the info themselves.
I also think this is a good idea for actors and producers. At least with the official release from the Academy, actors and producers will know whether to expect a phone call on nomination morning.
This almost seems like an parent's reaction to a child who keeps persisting and persisting to get something they want and the parent finally just gives in already. Yay us!

Wondrous news! It's amazing to see the Academy so clearly listen to a logical and sound argument, and I have to send kudos to Tom especially for being so on the ball in communicating the wishes of the readers/posters of being able to analyze this process even further.
