EDITED TO ADD: The following posts on this page now contain all of the contenders from the actual Emmy Awards ballots released last night. These are the official lists (with category changes by several people and quite a few situations where actors/actresses did not submit their names for the ballot).

Over the next few weeks, we will be officially confirming Emmy campaigns from the networks, studios, managers, PR reps, etc. As we confirm categories and episode submissions, they will be added to the lists below. If you discover something official (from actual sources, magazine ads, E-Bay screeners), please add them and provide the links below.

Great information today in Tom's blog about all of the Showtime early campaigning...

What?! How the hell "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" is a drama?! It's a comedy! Now, go the toilet Billie Piper's chances for a nomination (even if they're the slightest). Frown

Not to be mean, but it wouldn't have mattered in Billie Piper campaigned in the reality categories, she had no chance of a nomination anywhere. Not enough people are aware of this show.

Does anyone know when other studios will announce their campaigns? I understand that Showtime does it early, but I wondered how long until other studios announce there own?

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories

G'Day,
Showtimes early campaigns have worked in the past it's very hard to say Piper couldn't have benifited from it, the title will probably be provocative enough to land in many member's dvd players. She could have been nominated in the not too strong comedy race.

Now I am incredibally against category fraud for the sake of landing in an easier category and I can see why one would consider the show a drama. However I feel it is slighly more comedic and drama lead actrss in incredibally strong. This could be this years stupidist emmy campaigning decision.

Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series

I'd love to see Billie slip into the drama actress race. It's be nice to see at least three fresh faces: (January, Anna, and Billie) with three old ones.

Billie Piper would be my winner in any category she has been put, but she belongs to comedy. I don't get it why Showtime put her in drama? They have in drama Jennifer Beals, Laurel Holloman and Mia Kirshner from "The L Word", so they don't need to put there Billie too. I think they want only Toni and Mary Louise being nominated, and that's sad. I hope they change her placement.

Hopefully, since we are returning to just the popular vote deciding the nominations, Weeds can finally breakthrough with their first series nomination!

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak
Adele for "Hometown Glory"
Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless
Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight
Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody"
The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' "
Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"

Billie Piper wouldn't get in comedy, but she definitely has no shot in drama.

HBO's campaign box doesn't come out till mid-April, but I'll get one of the first copies and can detail its contents then. For now I'm still on vacation in China -- just landed in Beijing after exploring areas far, far north, near the Siberian border. FANTASTIC

Those are... odd choices. I would have gone with "Finding Freebo" and "The Damage A Man Can Do." Hope Hall and Smits don't screw their submissions up.

Lifetime Network has submitted lots of stuff for Emmy consideration, but it's only campaigning two things: Prayers for Bobby and its upcoming miniseries Maneater. Those DVDs will be shipped to TV acad members in May, no others.

"Prayers for Bobby" is their best shot at Emmys and I knew that they were going to put everything on it. Sigourney Weaver gave the best performance by an actress in TV movie this season and she has a big chance of becoming the first ever Lifetime's lady to win an Emmy. Fingers crossed.

No campaign for America, or even for Living Proof? Usually, Lifetime tries to promote its issue-driven women's movies over its more plentiful fantastical-type stuff, so that really surprised me. I haven't heard much about Maneater since it was announced, but it doesn't seem very Emmy-worthy to me.

Oh, and Mary Tyler Moore won a supporting actress Emmy for Lifetime's Stolen Babies, so, while Weaver would be the first lead, she wouldn't be the first actress to win for a Lifetime movie.

Yeah, I meant the first leading one. Sorry I didn't write this. Mea culpa.

If not for the now-gone Cable Ace Awards, Lifetime would already have a lead actress winner from Patricia Arquette in 1991's 'Wildflower', for which she was only eligible for a Cable Ace, and won. She beat out Holly Hunter, Sissy Spacek, Laura Dern, and Christine Lahti, easily I may add. No one could have beaten Arquette. Her portrayal of a deaf and epileptic teenager in the South was one of the most raw, sensitive, and powerful performances to ever grace the small screen, or big sceen, for that matter. If you have seen this Diane Keaton directed film, also starring a young Reese Witherspoon, you know what I mean.
Look for the DVD.
