I don't see anyone predicting nominees for Best Reality Judge. Isn't that category being introduced this year? Will there be nominees, or it is jurored?

Dan Castellaneta, The Simpsons (Homer, Krusty, Barney, Grampa, Kent Brockman, others)
Hank Azaria, The Simpsons (Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, others)
Seth MacFarlane, either for Family Guy (Peter, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire, Tom Tucker) or American Dad (Stan, Roger)
the surprise nomination: Kristin Chenoweth, Sit Down, Shut Up (Miracle Groh)
and someone who does narration for either a PBS or HBO special.

No, I did not forget Harry Shearer; there must be a reason he never won an Emmy, and now the voiceover artists on the committee can make it five times as clear that they don't like him for whatever reason. (As soon as Comedy Central airs non-DVD Futurama episodes, they can do the same to Billy West.)
Maybe Mike Judge gets one for King of the Hill (he's Hank and Boomhauer), since this was its last full season.

Since this is a full-blown category now, I wonder why the people submitted were not listed on the academy's website? I would love Kristin Chenoweth to get nominated for Sit Down, Shut Up. I wish that show would have been given more of a chance, I think it could have worked through the kinks. Is it eligible for any Emmys? I don't remember if it even had 6 episodes?

I assume it is eligible for things like "animated program" Emmys, since a number of them are single episodes. Besides, isn't the minimum for qualifying in most "series" categories three episodes? (My mistake; the limit is six now. I think this is a rules change from recent years.)

As for why the voiceover entries weren't listed, since the voiceover nominations are decided by a panel rather than a vote of all of the animation and acting branch Academy members, they probably felt there wasn't any need to make the entry list public.

I can't remember when this was announced, but the Academy decided not to make this a category this year after all. (I'm not sure about 2010.)

Say, does anybody know if there's an easy way to quote multiple posts in a single reply?

Going by a strict reading of the rules, it's only possible if there's a four-way tie for fourth. The rules say that when there is a tie, "the closest number to five" will be used (they should have kept the old wording, which made it clear that the priority was 5, 6, 4, 7, 3), so if there is a two-way tie for sixth, they would only have five nominees, and if there is a three-way tie for fourth fifth, they would again leave the tie out, as four is closer to five than seven is; only when the possible numbers are seven and three (i.e. a four-way tie for fourth) would there be seven nominees.

This is one of the things the Academy needs to clarify next year (along with whether Choreography should really be an Area rather than "Juried" as it has nominees).

Now that would be ironic having five nominees. Even more so than when the Academy was inspired by Lost's snub to change the rules and it still did not get in. As for multiple quotes, you just have copy the generated quote and paste it into a new quote box, i.e. no easy way.

The fact that you left 24 completely off your list is going to throw your predictions way off come the actual nominations. Kiefer, Cherry Jones, Jon Voight, and about 5 other supporting and guest actors could very well end up on the ballot. I hope they prove you wrong!

It's possible. I'm hoping not. I'm banking on other shows to do well.

I won't be able to participate in all the fun festivities. First off, my computer is dead until the recovery CD I ordered comes in. That will be the next business day after the order is processed. Plus, my parents are coming up to visit me for the first time since I moved. So Thursday we'll be out gallivanting around the area. I'm off work those days so I can't even use my interwebs there. I will DVR the morning announcement though. Such is life. Have fun & play nice Thursday morning!

Now I've done all my video predictions, I'll do a list of all my predix and post them here sometime before the announcement.

SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon)

I would expect Robot Chicken to be in the Special Class Animation category, as it's only 11-12 minutes per episode - unless they submitted the half-hour "Star Wars Episode 2" separately (and assuming it doesn't have too much reused material to make it ineligible).

Speaking of animation, what hour-or-longer animated shows even aired in prime time (not counting the Futurama movies, which I assume aren't eligible as they were released to DVD first)?
