DH rode a wave of buzz to a nomination its first year. Absent since. The voters obviously realize this show is not a comedy and is in the wrong category.
I don't think it's a bad sign for the ladies as far as nominations go, because the lead actress in a comedy category is so freakin weak. One, maybe 2 of them might still get a nod.
Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over— an analyst and a therapist. The world’s first analrapist.
It is a bad sign for the ladies of DH because Fey, Ferrera, JLD and Applegate are certainly ahead of them on popular vote. All have excellent episodes chosen. That only leaves one slot.
Poor "Desperate Housewives". I think we can make it official. DH won't be nominated for an Emmy ever again. And the only lady who has a chance of being nominated is Huffman. Others are out for good. Marcia Cross wille be Emmy-less forever...
I'm very excited to see Flight of the Conchords, The Office, Pushing Daisies. 30 Rock and Weeds.
Surprised there is no Desperate Housewives or Scrubs. Samantha Who? and How I Met Your Mother weren't predicted by me, but I thought they were spoilers.
I really don't think Family Guy deserves to be there. I also would have preferred Desperate Housewives over Ugly Betty.

Applegate and JLD's shows didn't get in, that can't be a good sign for them, can it? 2, maybe 3 of the DH ladies will at least get their tapes seen. I don't think any of them will get nominated, but their show not being nominated I don't think has that much of an effect on whether they make the final cut. It's not a good sign, but I don't think it's a bad sign, if that makes sense. We really have no idea where they fall in the popular vote.

I cannot believe that Family Guy actually made it! I recognize that the show is basically trash but it's hysterical in an ignore-its-flaws sort of way. It may rely too much on "like that time when...______*random flashback pop culture reference scene*" but it's just downright funny and I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did make the top 5. Remember folks, these are the same people who vote for the broad humor of Two and a Half Men.
All I can say is WOW that Desperate Housewives didn't make it. I thought for sure they would get nominated for its fourth season resurgence but it's clear that the voters just don't care anymore. I also thought that How I Met Your Mother would ride their wave of new buzz to get a top 10 nod but alas, voters will be voters.

Though I like several of these shows, I'm really hoping "Pushing Daisies" makes the top 5. I have a feel it will be snubbed in favor of crap like *gasp* "Two and a Half Men."
