Perhaps Rachel Griffiths will make a return, as well as another "In Treatment" actress. At this point, I don't think any series regular actors from Grey's Anatomy will be nominated if they aren't previous nominees.

If Heigl couldn't make it in last year then I'm not sure she can make it in this year. She's a movie star who had a summer film opening, she had a ton of buzz, everybody was talking about her performance in the last few eps of grey's and during the finale, and her character had cancer and she still didn't make it in last year(when many, including critics, agreed that she was one of if not the best on television).
She had all those factors in her favor and still didn't make it in, so I don't see her doing it again.
I think Grey's won't be that dominate in this category anymore. I'm not even sold on Wilson making it in. It's likely that Oh will be their only nom, and that's only if she gets a nice campaign and there isn't too much new blood for voters to latch onto.
Christina Hendricks is still a big possibility in this category. And, who are the new In Treatment guest this year?
I think Hendrick has no chance, she wasn't a nominee in Mad Men 1-2 season, and it's a big world, almost all of the Mad Men star was a nominee (Hamm, Moss, Slattery) in this year except Jones and Hendricks.
FYC OSCAR and GOLDEN-GLOBE 2010:
Meryl Streep - Julie & Julia Julianne Moore - A Single Man
I'm expecting that Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson, and Rose Byrne will return with the right material. "In Treatment" might not be back for a third season, so that could open the door for some new contenders. It could be the perfect time for Christina Hendricks to break through, and she has strong tape possibilities. Rachel Griffiths and Katherine Heigl could just as easily return as nominees or not. I doubt that Sara Ramirez will ever be nominated with her show's internal competition. Cherry Jones has to be included in the mix now, so she could be a solid returning nominee. I'd love to see them choose Katey Sagal, or finally get over their genre biases and nominate Michelle Forbes. Chloe Sevingy and Ginnifer Goodwin could breakthrough next year too if they go supporting again. Someone else to watch out for next year is Anna Gunn. She's supposed to get some really strong material this season, and it could be the perfect time for her to be nominated.
Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

Katey Sagal is for me a front-runner at the moment. And runner-ups are Michelle Frobes and Christina Hendricks. Sad thing is that only Henricks has a slight chance of getting in. This category is absolutely brilliant, but unfortunetely voters are too lazy and just tick off the names that are well-known.
This catagory is always shifty and disappointing. Cherry, Oh and Wilson are likely to return. The other three spots are up in the air.
We have Anna Gunn, Rose Byren, Christina Hendricks, Rachel Griffiths, Katherine Heigel, Katey Sagal, (if she goes supporting and is able to acquire enough buzz) and the Parenthood chicks.
I doubt the voters will go beyond that list. I don't see any women from Big Love making it in there. The nomination this year was clearly a 'throw HBO a bone' nod. But with In Treatment looking unlikely to return before the season is over, a couple of spots are open, which makes this catagory a bit more interesting.
I really hope that Rachel Griffiths is able to return to this category. She has always been able to rise above the material (or lack there of) from Brothers & Sisters. I really hope she can return to the race and hopefully have a good enough season to finally win that Emmy she has deserved for years.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories
I think Cherry Jones will follow the Jean Smart path, current winner, MIA the next year.
Oh and Wilson I guess will still be in, though I'm still not sold on Wilson for this season yet. Byrne will definitely be there. Hendricks will definitely be in. Griffiths will make a come back.
Hope Heigl will be there, but if she can't make it last season, there's no way she'll be back unless voters will realize their mistake last season and throw her a nom.
There's a possibility that Wiest will be gone, and Bergen is not coming back.
Ramirez won't even be in the running.
I was hoping that Lisa Edelstein would have received anomination especially in the previous seasons.
I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

i hope they will give some "LOST" love to the last season and nominate Emilie De Ravin (Claire) and maybe Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) and Yunjin Kim (Sun). I expect at least one "Grey's Anatomy" girl but hoping for some LOST love!

The fact that Yunjin Kim has NEVER been nominated for "Lost" is one of the biggest Emmy mistakes of he past decade that no one really stops to think about. She deserves a nomination, and I hope she has a fantastic year on "Lost"-the final season, to really show it.

I know for true that Sandra Oh will be in that category until that show gets canceled. She's the prerequisite Grey's girl. Don't know about that Chandra. Yes they showed that they like her w/the two noms and having her announce the noms, but I could easily see her getting cut. Byrne might, but I would hope that since she got her nom in this category she would try at Lead, but that is not going to happen. Jones might, but again doubt it. In Treatment might not be coming back so that leaves two slots open. I think the love of Mad Men will sprinkle down to this category and will finally net an overdue nom to the curvaceous and lovely Christina "Big Red" Hendricks. The other slot could end up going to either Katey Sagal (you guys have been raving about her and what I saw of last season she is stellar, add her onto the list of actors who can do comedy and drama effortlessly) or Anna Gunn, who can have the Aaron Paul effect and get a nom, b/c the season finale set up some thing that will be great for her to play this season. And as a wild card we can add Christine Baranski to the list of being the vet. nom possibly taking Jones place.

My absolute biggest wish for this category for next year is Christina Hendricks! PLEASE NOMINATE HER! I also fully agree with the Katey Sagal and Michelle Forbes mentions. All three are/were amazing!
