Now that GoldDerby has unofficially revealed all of the top Emmy acting contenders, it's about time that we all get out our frustrations over who DIDN'T make the top 10 lists.
But before we go crazy here, I just wanted to give a big thank you to the folks at GoldDerby for doing all the dirty work and getting these names out there. They should be made a part of public record, and something tells me that next year, because of the hard work being done here, that it WILL be a part of the official Emmy website.
That said, get cracking! Who didn't make the run-off that should have been? Also, what Dramas/Comedies were snubbed?

There are a lot of shockers in many of the Top 10s but the snubs of Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher, and especially Dana Delany take the cake.
Also, I have a hard time taking the Emmys seriously sometimes because of the O'Quinn/Pressley snubs. How do last years #1 choices in Supporting Actor Drama and Supporting Actress Comedy not even make the Top 10 based on a popular vote? It just doesn't make sense to me.

AML, I've wondered the same thing for years! How can Lost win in 2005 and not even be nominated in 2006 and 2007? Doesn't make sense. Same with O'Quinn and Pressley this year. It's almost like they're purposefully trying to "spread the wealth" and make sure other shows/actors get nominations.

Dana Delaney was amazing on DH and deserved to be in the top 10/nominated and win. I think the reason why she and the show didnt get nominated is because their more dramatic than comedy. Also its a bummer that Bill Paxton and Big Love werent shown love. Lost stars Cusuak and Yunjin Kim are also very deserving. Lastly I believe Sarah Chalke should have got a nod in guest actress, she is an amazing talent and deserves a nomination.
Big Love in Series and Lead Actor. Damnit, the show had a superb 2nd season; by all accounts, it should be fighting it out for the win.
Cheryl Hines for Curb Your Enthusiasm. I don't understand the Emmys at all. Hines has her best season ever, with the material for a third nomination, yet she's snubbed; she made it in with much less before. It's just baffling.
Robert Sean Leonard. 'Nuff said. The man gave one of the best performance by a supporting player all year and he's beaten out by T.R Knight. C'mon, really?

I too believe the Emmys are purposefully trying to spread the wealth, which is completely unfair in my opinion.
This whole process seems a bit off to me. Only if your popular or "of the moment" you will get your submission tape seen. Something about it doesn't seem right.

Matthew Fox of Lost is consistently excellent as drama lead actor, but did not have a great tape this year so it is understandable when he made the top ten last year but did not get nominated with a much better tape.
Robert Sean Leonard of House gave a great performance in the season finale as a supporting drama actor, but he is not on the Emmy radar.
In my opinion, Henry Ian Cusick of Lost deserved the win for supporting drama actor this year!
I hope Lost gets a nomination, but it has no chance at a win. I also hope that Lost's director Jack Bender and writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse win awards. Most of the fun this Emmy season is gone. And it started off so promisingly with the series top ten lists.
My Emmy picks: 'Lost' for Drama, Drama Lead Actor, Drama Supporting Actor (Henry Ian Cusick), Drama Directing 'House' for Drama Writing 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' for Comedy 'The Office' for Comedy Writing 'Flight of the Conchords' for Comedy Directing
Submitted perfectly but beat out by his costar T.R. Knight who had a less-than-stellar year. Season 4 was the season of "Grey's Anatomy" that finally utlized Justin Chambers to his fullest potential. It's unfortunate to not see him even make the top 11.
I would say the same about Sara Ramirez, but she completely submitted the wrong tape.

I can't believe that out of all of the cast members on Pushing Daisies, Chi McBride, in my opinion, my favorite character on the show, was snubbed! His role as Emerson Cod is one of the best characters on television, and you guys snubbed him... Well I hope to expect nominations for comedy series, lead actor, lead actress, supporting actress, writing, and directing to make up for his snub. And next year, I hope you get it right by nominating him in the top 5 where he rightfully belongs!
2009 Oscars FYC:
Lead Actor - Richard Jenkins, The Visitor Lead Actress - Sally Hawkins, Happy Go Lucky Supporting Actor - Haaz Sleiman, The Visitor Supporting Actress - Amy Adams, Doubt Original Screenplay - Thomas McCarthy, The Visitor
