For the Primetime Emmys, how do the specialized categories work? For example, do actors nominate actors and then actors VOTE for the acting categories, or do ALL members vote in specialized categories for acting, directing, etc.?
G'Day, here's my understanding of how it works. I could be wrong so anyone feel free to correct me.
members only vote in their specific branch for nominations (directors for directors, etc...).
for winners only people from that branch may vote (actors for actors, etc...), however may only vote in a maximum of 2 categories for their branch (so they have timne to watch all the episodes).
everyone os eligible to vote for series awards but for winners you can only vote in a maximum of 2 series categories.
I'm not sure if you are allowed to elect the categories you vote for or how that is determined. There's something about having to vote or only being allowed to vote every four years. That's what I'm a bit sketchy on.
Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series "What's Next?"
