The ratings are all in the various ratings threads on the board. Not that they really matter. ABC makes a lot of money off Scrubs from DVD and syndication. Which are really the reasons they are running a final season on ABC this year.

When I heard that every cast member had to be absent for two episodes I was a little worried. However, it really isn't that big a deal in practice. I have barely noticed when people have been gone. Even JD. That second to last episode had JD nowhere to be found. But, it was an excellent focus on Elliot and Turk. I really liked it.

Even if it had turned out bad, I still would have taken it. This show deserved to have a proper final season and a real finale. I am so glad we are getting that.

That episode that just focused on Elliot and Turk and the interns ("My Full Moon") was a strong one with the focus on those characters, but it was a noticeable miss too that there was no J.D., Dr. Cox, Janitor, or Kelso. I'm fine with the reasons for the absences, but they can be glaring at times, and the show is at its true best when the full ensemble's there.

I thought this episode had tons of funny moments. And ted's rendition of "Hey Ya" as all the couple's made up was really great. The ending was very powerful.

However, the fights(maybe not the Jordan/Cox one) and the general structure of this episode felt very been there done that. Not too original.

Grade: B

This conclusion was more serious than I would have liked, but that was a nice wrap-up with the Janitor's wedding and the couples resolving their conflicts like that, even if they were all sort of put-on problems. Ted's version of "Hey Ya!" was stunning though. I'd consider buying that.

Grade for "My Soul on Fire" (Part 2): B

Bill Lawrence said in TV Guide that he has Ted's (er, Sam Lloyd's) version of "Hey Ya" on his iPod. He totally needs to release that. I really liked it!

I liked the episode. I liked the Cox/Jordan stuff. Laughed when the show wiggled out of telling us the Janitor's real name.

And Bill Lawrence got to be in the show! Hee hee! That was fun.

BTW, did you know that ABC won't let Todd's banana hammock on air? There was a shot in Part 1 where the camera rolled down Todd's body and JD made a banana hammock joke, but we never saw it. Lawrence said to TV Guide that it isn't allowed past ABC's censors. So, NBC has looser standards than ABC. Who would have guessed?

That is hilarious. But also interesting.

I guess GE is definately a dirtier company than Disney :P.

Here's the link to the photo spread at tv guide magazine. Actually, I was wrong. It was Robert Maschio who talked about his "man-thongs" not being allowed on ABC.

Watch the last episode and I thought the Ted version of Hey Ya! was awesome.

So far I think the tapes they should use for series are

My Last Words, My ABCs, Their Story II, My Soul on Fire Parts 1 & 2, and the finale (which given how good this season has been, it's going to be good).

OMG, Kim is dating SEAN?! How did Kim even meet Sean? That is crazy. I am so excited to see Scott Foley back! I just loved him on this show. Sean is back! Seriously, I am ridiculously happy about this. Scott Foley is one of my favorite Scrubs guest stars ever.

Okay, one more time. Kim is dating Sean?? LOL. Now I truly cannot wait for this episode. This might even make up for LOST being a clip show this week.

Wow, I am kind of sad I read this in the synopsis before I saw the episode. This would have been awesome as a surprise.

I liked the scenes where Turk and the staff tried to convince Perry to make him chief of surgery, and that silly "weiner grip" bit made me laugh too for some reason. The scenes with J.D./ Elliot and Kim/ Sean dragged a bit, though I did like Scott Foley here. There's some nice forward momentum with J.D. thinking about moving, Turk's new job, and Kelso wanting to come back to work again.

Grade for "My Cuz": B/B-

I hadn't read anything about this episode and when i saw Scott Foley my jaw literally fell to the floor.

I had forgotten how fun and surprising TV can be when you don't read any spoilers.

I'm getting completely nostalgic thinking there's only 2 more episodes left. It's like the last two weeks of senior year in high school all over again.

My, I love Scott Foley on this show. And we even got a reprise of JD's classic line "Nobody cares, Sean". A friend and I still use this line once in while, with Zach Braff's exact inflection. LOL.

I liked the storyline with Turk trying to get that job. I also really liked to see Kelso back in the hospital.

BTW, it is really funny that JD is complaining about living so far away. 37 minutes? My roommate drives that to work every day, just crossing our own city. That 37 minute drive is what I have to make to get downtown from the suburbs. Crazy.

On his ABC blog, Bill Lawrence said he is trying to put the 1 hour version of the Bahamas episodes on the DVDs. He says it is more balanced than splitting it up.

He also seemed to indicate he is trying to get Sam Lloyd's version of "Hey Ya" on iTunes.
