Don't like the fact that January Jones and Alison Pill were snubbed in Performer of the Year. They were ten times better than Carell and Colbert, SORRY!
Good nominees. "Breaking Bad" managed more nods than I was expecting, which is great. "Big Love" deserved at least a nod for Chloe Sevigny, so I'm sad it got nothing. And Gabriel Byrne should be in the drama actor category over Hugh Laurie (or Jon Hamm, for that matter).
I like these nominees, alot! A couple of my favs got snubbed (i.e. Rachel Griffiths ) but overall they are pretty good. I am so glad that Kristin Chenoweth was not forgotten and I hope the Emmys remember her too.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories
I don't know if there's a sense to vote for comedy categories because they are already sewn up by "30 Rock". WTF?! "The Big Bang Theory" was snubbed?! Guess, most people here don't get nerd-type humour... This is probably the last time I see January Jones (and Billie Piper) nominated for anything, so I vote for my ladies.
Extremely shocked and disappointed to see "Breaking Bad" not represented at all in Best Dramatic Episode, Gabriel Byrne for Lead Drama Actor, and the ghastly "American Dad" somehow making it in over the vastly superior "King of the Hill."
"In Treatment" in general was underrepresented, but I'm glad it got in where it counted: John Mahoney and Alison Pill. Now I guess I'll watch while Katherine Heigl takes it.
No nominations for "Big Love"? For shame!
And where is Margo Martindale, who gave one of the best performances of the year in her two episodes of "Dexter."
Happy to see "Pushing Daisies" get a fair share of love, though I think it's slightly appalling that Anna Friel was beaten out by Eva Longoria. What warm, beautiful, tender performances Friel gave!
Yay for "Friday Night Lights"!
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
no love for rescue me or big love but at least breaking bad gots some. im telling you cranstons gonna win another emmy this year and aaron paul is at least gettin a nom and i wouldnt be suprised to see it get a best drama series nomination

The best comedy of this season, completely shut out of the running; Party Down. Not even a nod to Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr or Jane Lynch? Or Kristen Bell? The fact Starz is getting their feet wet in series production should not be held against it. Even the mighty HBO and Showtime had to start somewhere. The talent and quality are there, in front and behind the camera. So Chuck off, then. :| I'll put PD's ensemble against ANY show on TV.
A better fate, somewhat, for BSG. But Olmos, Sackhoff, Helfer, Park, Hogan - all hosed. Paquin's Oscar half a lifetime ago still pays dividends. Sarah Michelle Gellar did this genre a hell of a lot better than Paquin ever can or will. But since Paquin's on HBO, free pass-a-palooza.

I watched "Party Down" on Netflix because I do not have Starz and I do not know anyone who has Starz. I think it did not get nominated because no enough people saw it. Personally it did not make my three nominees, and yes- "Chuck" did, but might have made my line-up if we voted for five.

Most of you are some of the most negative people I have ever run across! Why do you always focus on things that you dislike when there are obviously a few that you like? This goes for every type of award, not just the ones we offer here for fun. You must be a blast to hang around on a daily basis in your real life. Focus your life on the positives, not the negatives.
And by the way, YOU are the ones that actually voted for these nominees (most of you anyway... some of the ones complaining right now didn't even vote).
Yeah, I didn't vote, I didn't notice the board that was up to vote. I did send in my vote though for picking the winners. I'm happy about some nominee's, the only thing that upset me was the gabillion nominations of 30 rock, that's enough to make me puke, but other than that I enjoyed the nominations.
I got swamped and didn't vote this year. Although, I did not post any complaints. I posted what I was happy about. And here's some more:
Hooray that January Jones is nominated for Drama Lead Actress! Love that Breaking Bad got in for Drama Series. I was worried that me not voting would hurt its chances. LOL. Love that Pushing Daises, Chenoweth, Pace and McBride were all nominated. Also thrilled that Patrick Fischler made it in for Drama Guest Actor.
