I personally think the Lead Actress Drama emmy will come down to the Amazing Glen Close(damages)and the equally amazing Sally Field (brothers and Sisters). In any other year id Want Close to win, BUT SALLY FIELD is the greatest actress on TV!!!! Every Episode and Scene she makes the show. SHE DESERVES a second straight emmy!!!!!!!

Sally Field submitted terribly. I wanted to give her the emmy for her performance in "Seperation Anxiety". It was amazing, and truly beautiful work that would have one her a second.

However, she submitted "History Repeating", where she feels like a supporting character. If she wasn't so popular i don't think she would get a nom with that tape.

And Sedgwick and Driver were good as well this season.

Kyra Sedgwick for the WIN!

Sedgwick all the way. The trophy would be hers to lose with "Ruby" but I think "Manhunt" can still get her a win. If she did switch to the former I'd be thrilled however.

I’m sorry, but I really don’t know why people like “Separation Anxiety” so much. To me, it was kind of disappointing and Sally Field only has one amazing scene (the last one, where she’s having dinner all by herself).

I think “History Repeating” is a great choice for her and could give her another Emmy, although I believe that “Home Front” (the season premiere, I think that’s the name of the episode) would be even better.

Glenn Close (fantastic on Damages) will probably win, but Field can upset things, and I really would like that. She deserves to win an Emmy this year more than for Season 1.

I'd rather like to think it's Sedgwick vs. Driver who had amazing seasons, with Ally Walker as a spoiler. Personally, I would give an Emmy to Ally and Minnie (TIE!). But I know in the end it'll be Close vs. Sedgwick... with Field as a spoiler.

Sally Field should have submitted "Separation Anxiety" as her tape. It's the best material she's had all season, and I think voters would have loved it. Considering what they went for from her win last year, I think that this tape would be a been a marked step up from that. But she didn't, and Glenn Close is stellar in the "Pilot" episode. I doubt that the win will boil down between these two, but between them, I'd pick Glenn Close.

Well, if it were my choice I'd actually give the Emmy to Kyra Sedgwick. She's fantastic in The Closer and she picked a good tape. But I think Glenn Close will probably win, which I'm fine with, she's great in Damages.

Exactly how I feel! If it were up to me Kyra would win hands down this year, but I guess I won't be too disappointed should Glenn win. She's deserving as well.

Well, Mary McDonnell was the best lead actress of this tv season, but she won't even be nominated. I'll be rooting for Sedgwick, just wish she'd switch her damn tape to Ruby. Close and Field are both terrific and there are so many great actresses in this category, I'm not sure the voters can really go wrong.

Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over— an analyst and a therapist. The world’s first analrapist.

please....if Glenn Close doesn't have a single episode on Damages brilliant first season....I would choose the finale, but she never had scenes, just a wonderful character which she played perfectly, but no episodes with amazing scenes or moments where you can go EMMY!....just normal Patty Hewes things in every episode....nothing out of the ordinary either for her or her character....

I hope Sedgewick can finally win something....

On tapes alone, I would give it to Sedgwick for constantly delivering on The Closer, with FOUR knockout tapes. But Glenn Close completely created a multi-dimensional character with all her little idiosyncrasies. I would be happy if Kyra won but I would cheer if Glenn won.

I wouldn't call anything Close/Patty Hewes did "just normal". The entire performance from start of finish is FANTASTIC and screams EMMY to me. When you have a killer tape, I don't think you need one killer scene. Close chews up every scene and everyone around her. I would be ok with Sedgewick, Field(and a couple others)winning...but to me Close is the best, has the best tape and therefore should win.
