Kathy Griffin is BRILLIANT! I couldn't stop laughing as she presented an award on the TV Land Awards earlier this week and I watched the newest episode of "D-List" last night and was constantly finding myself laughing hysterically. Did anyone else crack up when Kathy told Grammy Guru that they could name her comedy album "Maya Angelou Live?"
Anyway, I propose that we start a petition here at the Envelope for Kathy.
I propose that Kathy Griffin host the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. I honestly can't think of a funnier (or more relevant host) than Kathy this year. If you agree with me, please follow my lead below and type your name and posting name in this thread.

Kathy Griffin is hilarious! She would be such an awesome host! The only problem - they would have to either 1) tape delay by like 15 minutes or 2) hire the best censor people in the biz that can quickly push that buzzer in time, and unlike last year when they completly ruined some of the speeches, but literally like "beep" faster than some of the contestants on Jeopardy...

I doubt the Emmys would ever be ready for Kathy Griffin to host their show with her in-your-face brand of comedy. I'd be thrilled to see it happen though.

Hello? Let's see, who works on ABC, has hosted a million shows before, and does a great job of it? Hmmmm..... WHOOPI GOLDBERG!! I think it'd be great to see Whoopi host it. She made the Tony's ratings go up, so why not get Whoopi on the Primetime Emmy's??? Anyone?
