Hey everybody! I'm thinking of doing this game concerning the Primetime Emmys.
Basically, this is how it works. There will be a few people who will act as TV networks. If you sign up as a network, you can have 2 to 4 dramas and comedies. These TV shows are real shows which are shown on network and cable TV. Eg You pick Friends, Will & Grace, The West Wing and Lost for your network.
After everybody has picked their TV shows, then this show will be submitted for Primetime Emmys consideration. This will basically follow last year's way of determining nominees in the 2008 Primetime Emmys. A panel of voters, who will have registered earlier on and can don't include the people who are having their TV networks, will rank their Top 10 shows and performers from the available contenders.
After the Top 10 has been determined from each category, the networks will then have to choose sample episodes which must be available online in which selected judges will then judge this episodes and combine with the earlier popularity results to result in the Final 5 nominees. Then, the network will select another episode to submit for a panel of judges who will ultimately decide the winner.
I just thought this might be an interesting game seeing that most of us have our thoughts about who should be nominated based on the seasons and episodes submitted by performers/producers. I might not need too many people to be the networks. Possibly 10 to 15 people. But I might need more to be on the panel of the judges. If I have enough people submitting interest in this game, I might possibly continue. So, I will announce again whether I'm continuing with the game or not. Give me feedback about this game.

Basically, yes. Haha. We have seen people saying that if a certain performer has submitted a certain episode, they might have been nominated or even won. So, for the TV networks, you are basically playing the Emmy game and determining episodes which would help your show or performer be nominated/win.

Well, I'm basically be doing tabulating of points. But I need a group of people who are willing to put in time to judge sample episodes. If I can get, say 20 to 30 people to be judges, I can split up to say possibly having 5 to 7 on a judging panel and therefore each person maybe only judging 3 to 4 categories. This game won't be a short game. I'm thinking of maybe the cycle to be every 3 months maybe. Basically, the Emmy process is like annually but for us it would be a 3 month period. The period starts with the networks submitting their TV shows for Emmy consideration and ends with the "Emmy ceremony" where the winners are announced.

Please indicate on the thread if you are interested to be:
1) A TV network where you choose shows from comedy/drama genre and determine episodes for submission
2) A member of a judging panel, who will vote in the initial voting of all categories based on popularity votes, as well as be in the judging panels for selected categories
3) Be on both a TV network and a judging panel
This is to help me know how many people are interested to be in the game. Thanks.

Just for clarification, the network is to choose real TV programs that are either showing currently or old TV shows. And these TV shows must have episodes online so that the judges can view them during the panel judging.
