Oh, sorry, I didn't notice there were two. Well, I'll post my message here as well:
I STILL LOVE THIS SHOW.
Well, I just got into it last year, but I've seen all of the seasons. China, Micronesia, Amazon, and Pearl Islands (15, 16, 6, 7 respectively) are my favorites.
I haven't watched the bios yet, so I am judging purely on hottness. With that in mind, my favorite is John, far and away. Ben is a close second. (If I had to choose women, Marisa is the favorite there, followed by Monica.) I hope for horrible things from Laura, because she described herself (according to SurvivorSucks' forum) as an athletic Sarah Palin, or something. This seems fitting, as her daughter was also knocked up as a teen and she's a grandmother =P.

It'll be interesting to see how long Russell can get away with this kind of blatant lying. You can only get away with it early in the game when people don't know each other all that well.
Agreed about the selection of eye candy, of both genders.
If Phil Keoghan doesn't take the Emmy, I'd be fine with Probst winning his second. He's the only host that calls sh*t when he sees it and smacks around the contestants. Good stuff.

Ama-aa-aazing shot. I've watched it half a dozen times on YouTube.
That was a great show. Russell is a real villain and I wonder how long he will last. Also it should be good to see who gets thrown out of the challenge.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

Agreed. I know Probst, Burnett and the producers are probably cackling with glee at such a hissable villain, but it's actually not going to be much fun to see good players taken out and schmucks like Russell H. and Ben thrive.
I'm thinking of the Brian/Clay final two on "Survivor: Thailand," or the Rob/Amber final two on the "All-Stars" season. Those two were so loathsome CBS had to devise a chance to give another million to Rupert just to make people happy (I may be projecting here).
On the other hand, it was a hilarious moment when Probst once again tried to manipulate Ben into expressing remorse at his dirty game play and Ben sneered at the game's "sissy rules." He refused to let Probst box him into a corner.
I have to say, however: "Survivor" looks absolutely amazing in HD. The editing, cinematography, just fantastic. Some of the best work on television. This location is stunning; Those towering geysers of seafoam blasting up through and around the rocks on the shore are just something else.

Ok, I'm down w/ Russel. He's a villain and a douche, but hey, he's playing the game. You gotta give him props for finding that hidden immunity idol. I know some people find him annoying, but he's entertaining me so far.
Ben, on the other hand, is just AWFUL. Yasmin is definitely all kinds of crazy (and hilarious) BUT to call her ghetto trash and make racial slurs about her is just completely uncalled for. I was completely flummoxed when the team didn't vote him out. As a human being, if I was on that team and heard him say the stuff he did in tribal council, I would have switched my vote then and there, regardless of the consequences.
Just tell me this: Is 9/24 the opening of the Samoa season? Cause if I've already missed one, I don't know if I want to bother. (Just set my TiVo for it a couple days ago.)

Thanks.
No, it opened last week, 09/17, episode title "The Puppet Master."
As for Ben's racial slurs, Mike made similar comments last week (although not as blatant as Ben's) so I wasn't too upset to see him go, either.
RealityBlurred says Mike was actually cast for "Tocantins" last season and pulled right before filming started for medical reasons; he was replaced with Spencer, the blond gay guy.
As much as I liked Betsy, if you're an "older" player and you're cast on "Survivor" and you don't start hustling immediately to save yourself during these team-immunity challenges, you deserve to go. It's like picking off the low-hanging fruit every season.
And I don't have a problem with Russell H. being evil and a d*ckwad so much as the edit he's getting that focuses on him to the exclusion of virtually everyone else (which the producers can do something about), and with how his game play is unfolding.

Yes. Older people, especially old ladies, have to establish their status as respectable or lovable to stay in the game or just go with the flow in case there are obvious targets.
Kathy and Cirie (not that old, but older compared to the rest) are my favorite in that regard.
