Gee, after SNL's success in swinging Ohio to Queen Hillary (the most shockingly "establishment" move in the history of the show), what will they do for an encore?
For two straight shows, they've had a white actor in blackface portraying an eloquent, Harvard educated black politician as a blank-eyed simpleton. Any bets this week they'll have Armison/Obama performing a medly of Stephen Foster numbers?
Considering how hard it's been historically for the show to hire black cast members, they'll have a hell of time hiring in the future.

Amy Adams is hosting tomorrow night!!!! I'm so excited. She's a gem. I <3 Amy and her cute fairytale Princess Giselle.

Political humor is funny when both sides are jabbed ("Lockbox" vs "Strategry"; "I have a plan" vs. "He changes his mind"), even if it a 60/40 mark. But the pro-Hillary bent is starting to become grating. And why hasn't SNL tackled McCain yet?

I just don't know why they stole the entire monologue from "Wicked" the musical? They couldn;t have thought of anything else? I was disappointed that they did that.

I don't know, I didn't have a problem with that, but it was probably because I love Amy Adams, I love Kristen Wiig and I love Wicked. So I loved seeing all of them "together" in one scene. It couldn't really be any different.
I think the sketch had to do with this article I read that said that even though Amy knows she's completely wrong for the part, Elphaba is her dream role.

Bad episode. I enjoyed 2 things all night. The Project Runway skit(Amy did a spot on Christian) and when Penelope said it was her eye on the dollar bill. Otherwise, terrible episode.
Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over— an analyst and a therapist. The world’s first analrapist.
I thought that the 3 AM political sketch was excellent, and Amy Adams managed to remain afloat as host despite being given some really poor material throughout the show. The "Wicked" opening was cool, and a few others worked (like the Penelope sketch, the superhero digital short, and the "Project Runway" spoof, which Amy Poehler was awesome in). Others were terribly stupid, like the smokehouse hospital bit and the Tookie Styles DVD thing. This episode would make a strong Amy Poehler tape.
Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

I would definitely support Amy Poehler at the Emmys. She's been doing such a great job for the past few years that I really think she deserves some recognition. Just like many other cast members did.
The writing on this show may be bellow average now, but they do have some amazing performers.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I really enjoyed this episode. I thought Amy Adams did a good job of hosting, and there were several good skits. The Project Runway skit, Penelope, the twin sisters skit, and the Digital Short were all very good in my opinion. I agree that Amy Poehler had a strong performance. (as she always does) Update was very good, especially with Tim Calhoun. I wasn't too fond of the musical guest, but ohter than that this was a very good show. Can't wait for Jonah Hill/Janet Jackson next week! Episode Grade: A-
I didn't like it that much. My favorite sketches were the Penelope one (she never fails to crack me up), the PR one, the monologue and the one at the bar, where the girls danced.
Amy Adams did a good job, but they didn't give her much of room to fail, anyway.
Tina Fey's was still the best episode (out of the ones I have seen).
