I'm hoping Vanessa Williams can manage another nomination for her role on "Ugly Betty" and finally bring home the Emmy. If nominated, she'll be on her fourth nomination, and it would be nice to see her awarded for her work (especially considering that "Ugly Betty" may not come back for another season).
I'm also keeping my eye on Merritt Wever, as Zoey Barkow on "Nurse Betty." Her subtle comedy is spot on, and I'd like to see her at least get a nomination for her work.
"Modern Family" has also produced some comedic gems in Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen. I'd like to see both nominated.
Vanessa Williams actually had a shot during the first three times that she was nominated had she submitted well. Her only decent submission was during the second season and it still makes me wonder how Jean Smart won with that tape.
Chenoweth is gone now, so is Smart and Poehler, so i think that's two slots opened.
Krakowski will still be there, and so is Wiig, and I still think they'll throw Williams a final shot. Perkins is hit or miss, she was snubbed the previous season and just came back this season. I think she can still make the top six.
I'm hoping that with the wedding episode, Jenna Fischer can still come back to the race. And as for the newbie, I'm predicting Bowen for the nom.
Right now: Bowen Fischer Krakowski Perkins Wiig Williams
I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

Based on content/quality, I think Perkins may sit out the next round. Her character didn't have that many laugh-out-loud moments this season, save for "Suck 'n Spit" (I think...the episode where she gave the presentation and pulled out the cheese puffs). If she receives a nomination, I think it would mainly be due to name recognition.

Well my point exactly. They're back to popularity vote again in determining the nominees.

Jenna Fischer, The Office Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock Jane Lynch, Glee Sofia Vergara, Modern Family Kristin Wiig, Saturday Night Live Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty
right behind them are...
Julie Bowen, Modern Family (unless she goes lead) Elizabeth Perkins, Weeds Merrit Weaver, Nurse Jackie
possible: Holland Taylor, Two and A Half Men Jayma Mays, Glee Eve Best, Nurse Jackie Wanda Sykes, New Adventures of Old Christine
Jenna Fischer, The Office Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock Jane Lynch, Glee Sofia Vergara, Modern Family Kristin Wiig, Saturday Night Live Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty
This is my prediction, exactly. And not a bad looking list, I might add. If I were to change one thing, I'd say maybe Elizabeth Perkins could get in over Fischer. (And personally, I'd love to see Jane Adams get in for her brilliant work on "Hung"...but probably not going to happen.)
Yeah, I had a feeling Bowen might go lead... Clearly, O'Neil will go lead and he'll totally get in... I think Ty Burrell could go lead to but stands a stronger shot in supporting...
Looks like it'll be a weak year, from what we've seen so far. I'm hoping (more wishing) that maybe Angela Kinsey can get in. She consistently portrays Angela on The Office year after year really well.
Anywho, my list: Jenna Fischer, The Office Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock Jane Lynch, Glee Elizabeth Perkins, Weeds Kristin Wiig, Saturday Night Live Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty
but having Angela Kinsey, The Office, Cobie Smulders, HIMYM or Alyson Hannigan HYMYM would make would make me very happy. Hopefully one of these can break into the race, although I know it probably isn't likely.
Oscar 2010 Best Actress: Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side Best Movie: (500) Days Of Summer Best Actor: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, (500) Days of Summer
Golden Globes Movie Actress Drama: Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side Movie Actress Comedy/Musical: Sandra Bullock, The Proposal, Zooey Deschanel Movie Actor Comedy/Musical: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Movie Comedy: 500 Days of Summer TV Supporting Actress: Sandra Oh, Alyson Hannigan TV Supporting Actor: Neil Patrick Harris
Who I think will be nominated; Jenna Fischer, The Office Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock Jane Lynch, Glee Elizabeth Perkins, Weeds Kristin Wiig, Saturday Night Live Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty
Who I'd like to see nominated(I'm assuming Bowen will be Lead); Dana Delany(yes I said it) Jane Lynch Elizabeth Perkins Sofia Vergara Merritt Wever(!)
yikes I can't even think of a sixth I'd like to see nominated.

Jenna Fishcer Jane Krakowski Jane Lynch Elizabeth Perkins Sofia Vergara Vanessa Williams
A lineup that I wouldn't be unhappy with. If Bowen goes Supporting, I could see her possibly knocking off either Perkins or Williams.
Although, in the case of the "Modern Family" ladies, I think its hard to separate them into two different categories. So far, they seem to have a balanced screen time. I've wondered if maybe the entire MF cast will pull a "Friends" and compete in the same category, be it Lead or Supporting.

With a few slots opening up next year, I think that the best chances for nods would be with:
Jane Krakowski, "30 Rock" Kristen Wiig, "Saturday Night Live" Vanessa Williams, "Ugly Betty"
Jane Krakowski has the "30 Rock" factor going for her; Kristen Wiig is "SNL"'s shining light, and Vanessa Williams has become a perennial in this category that I think will be nodded as long as her show airs.
After that, Jenna Fischer might have a shot for "The Office". This season's going to be big for her, so if she is ever to return to the list, it would be now. Elizabeth Perkins could go either way and be in or out. She could get in on name recognition, and she has some solid tapes, but not enough to win I think. Of the new ladies, I'd say that Jane Lynch has the best shot of getting in for "Glee." I don't know how the "Modern Family" people will submit -- they could all go lead, supporting, or split their chances. Maybe Merritt Wever or Eve Best if voters love "Nurse Jackie" beyond Edie Falco. Cheryl Hines could come back for for "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Holland Taylor or Conchata Ferrell could be possibilities for "Two and a Half Men" if they're back in voters' favor. If her storyline ends up going well this season, I'll throw in Drea de Matteo for "Desperate Housewives" too. Beyond that, I don't see too many having a real chance at a nomination next year.
For the last three slots, I'll go with:
Jenna Fischer, "The Office" Jane Lynch, "Glee" Elizabeth Perkins, "Weeds"
Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

Oh yeah. I completely forgot about her. Put her on my list of hopefuls for sure. I actually think that if there is any glimmer of hope for a Housewives actor next year it's her.

I tend to get a little bitter when the subject of "DH" actresses and Emmys come up due to the fact that Eva Longoria Parker will never be nominated for this show, despite having grown into a top-notch comedic actress, IMHO.
Anyway, I'm a Drea de Matteo mark, so if she were nominated, I'd be all for it. But, at this point, I think Delaney has a better chance to make the Supporting list because the "Katherine Goes Crazy" storyline will probably have more comedic possibilities than Drea's story.

If Dana Delany couldn't get in for season 4, I doubt she'll ever be nominated for the series. I could see voters going for Drea just for being more current, and since it's a popular vote, there could also be some residual "Sopranos" love there helping her out too.

I still can't believe Jenna Fischer only has 1 nom so far.
Grammy FYC: Kanye West, 808s & Heartbreak; Black Eyed Peas, The E.N.D.; John Legend, Evolver; Paolo Nutini, Sunny Side Up; David Guetta, One Love; Kelly Clarkson, "Already Gone"; Jordin Sparks, "Battlefield"; Kings Of Leon, "Use Somebody"; Maxwell, "Pretty Wings"

You're probably right.

If Cougar Town leaves an impression on enough voters, I could see Christa Miller snagging a nom.
