It could go either way for Amy Poehler. She is not a lock, but I am thinking a nod for Parks and Recreation is conceivable. The show is not great, but Poehler excels in the role.
I'd say Poehler is likely, but in no way a lock. I watch every single episode of The Office, and I have never seen Parks & Rec. I'd call Carrell a lock because he is a multiple-time previous nominee in his category and his show has done well at the Emmys. How do either of those apply to Poehler? That is why Poehler is not equivalent to Carrell.

Voters are not like you (or like me). They know they have a responsibility to vote, so they will at least sample episodes of a show that might be in the running.

It is an Office rip-off, and I'm not that impressed.
However, Amy Poehler STiLL deserves a nomination for her work in it.

Just remember this conversation when the noms are announced.

Bishop's sardonic and condescending comebacks offer some of the show's most memorable lines. Nonetheless, Graham took a very demanding role and effortlessly inhabited it. Not only perfectly jumping across pathos but doing so with rapid-fire dialogue and with much charm. Her best tapes in the first five seasons would have been virtually unbeatable had they ever been seen by voters.

Amy Poehler may get in but I in no way think she is a lock. Comparing her to Stave Carrell seems patently false. He is on an acclaimed show having an acclaimed season. She is on a critically panned show. The similarities betwen the show, and of her to Steve Carrell, may hurt rather than help as a lot of those negative reviews treat the whole venture as a rip-off. She may get in but it would be by the skin of her teeth... or perhaps out of appreciation for her past work in "Saturday Night Live".

Michael C. Hall: As I have said, there are seven clear frontrunners for the category. Most are predicting James Spader to be snubbed, but I disagree that a three-time winner in the last five years will be forgotten. I am also not predicting Katherine Heigl, who is currently ranked second in our aggregate buzz meter.
I don't think that any Emmy voter who sees Alison Pill's work in "In Treatment" is going to be able to deny her a Best Supporting Actress nomination. I just don't see how it's possible.
I also have a hard time seeing how Dianne Wiest doesn't get in again. She did incredible work.

Until I've seen all/more of the tapes, it's really much harder to say definitively who is NOT getting in. It's a lot easier to call locks, because you can factor in a lot more variables.
