I really like this show. Jenna Elfman is really funny and I am enjoying it.
My website and blog are taking a little break, since Geocities is closing and I now have to upload everything to a new site, so I am working on a new design and it is gonna take me a while, hoping to get it up by Oscar Season.
Ashley Jensen is hilarious on this show! But the woman who plays the sister is not! They need to write her out. Jenna Elfman is how she normally is - border-line annoying. Sometimes I think shes funny, other times I cannot stand her.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories
I don't see a long future for this one. 2 themes I've noticed from the 2 episodes:
1. Jenna Elfman wildly overacts 2. Jon Foster does not have enough shirts
Hemingway once told a friend he was considering giving up writing. "But Ernest," the friend protested. "You love writing!" "No," corrected Hemingway. "I love having written."

Very nice observations. Here's the thing though...
#1 is a problem, #2 isn't. LOL.
The writing on this show is horrible. I didn't even laugh once during this week's episode. But as long as Jon Foster's shirtless for 80% of the episode, I'll keep tuning in. LOL.
If Jenna Elfman over acts then alot of actress' in comedy right now over act, because I can name two of the top of my head that are just as big as she is.
Jon Foster is hot, btw lol.
I have laughed out loud during both episodes.

I turned this on halfway through tonight's episode. Not really feeling it. It's way too generic. Ashley Jensen seemed to add a bit of spark though.

Accidentally On Purpose is a comedy starring Golden Globe Award winner Jenna Elfman as Billie, a single woman who finds herself "accidentally" pregnant after a one-night stand with a much younger guy, and decides to keep the baby. and the guy. A newspaper film critic, Billie is barely surviving a humiliating breakup with her charming boss, James (Grant Show), who's still trying to resume their relationship. Suddenly expecting a child with her "boy toy," Zack (Jon Foster), Billie and Zack make an arrangement: to live together platonically. Billie's party girl best friend Olivia (Ashley Jensen), and Abby (Lennon Parham), her conventional, younger married sister, eagerly look forward to the new addition and offer their own brands of advice and encouragement. But when Zack and his freeloading friends, including Davis (Nicolas Wright), start to turn her place into a frat house, Billie isn't sure if she's living with a boyfriend, a roommate, or if she just has another child to raise. ______________________________________________________________________ pass drug testing | pass drug test marijuana | snoozer pet seat

The mugging on this show would put the Three Stooges to shame. I'm officially finding something else to do between How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory on Monday nights.

Elfman tries to make it funny but her talents are really being taxed. I did think it was funny when the crazy girlfriend of Zack sent texts to both him and Billie.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

This is one of those shows that you'll either love or hate. I personally love it. I think Jenna Elfman is very funny and does her best with the scripts she is given; Jon Foster is very charming and a natural leading man, plus let's face it he's a total hunk. I think the supporting cast for the most part is good---Grant Show is charming and i see a natural love triangle developing between Billie/Zack/James. Ahsely Jensen is good but underused, i don't know why she left Ugly Betty for this though---the sister character is AWFUL, AWFUL and needs to be written out.
But overall i love the show.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!
