More great stuff. So many of the plotlines are just so fascinating to watch right now.
All of Flockhart and Lowe's scenes are just so interesting...and I'm really starting to dislike Robert. Flockhart continues to rock it though. She has immediate chemistry with Matt Letscher.

Justin is becoming a bit of a jerk too...but hey, all this is making for great drama.

And how about that Holly Harper? You never know what she's going to do next. The look on Sally Field's face as Holly announced she would vote with Sarah was just priceless.
I love how Holly always keeps you on your toes and keeps you guessing, and Wettig always plays it so well.

A-

Ew not a fan of Ryan after this episode. And it would be a total disservice if to the character of Rebecca if they hook her up with him. That's just too soapy of a plotline, even for this show.

And what is Holly's scheme? I'd love to think she had pure intentions, but I just can't believe that.

Every show on Primetime is soapy to some degree. Hell, look at ER, Grey's, and DH. I know soaps aren't what they use to be, but well, neither is Primetime (ABC, NBC, CBS to be exact).

What luck for rulers that men do not think.

Oh I know...and I kind of love it, but there is a point where it gets overboard. A friend of mine was over while this was on and during an early scene with Rebecca and Ryan she asked who are they? It was until I said, "Oh they thought she was their half sister because their dead father had an affair, but they accepted her into the family anyway. She fell in love with one of the brothers, though, but it was OK because she ended up not being their sister after all. This guy is actually their brother though. Their father had an affair with his mother and she killed herself. The mother actually found him. Now he's falling in love with the girl that used to be the half sister too," that I realized it was getting a little bit ridiculous.

I'm sorry, I really liked this show, even up to the "Movie Event", but now it is getting a little too out there. I mean I am so sick of the whole embezzlement thing, but comeone, how many companies do you know would let someone steal that much money from them and then say, "Oh, nevermind. We don't care that you stole from us. Your free to go just don't let it happen again."

That's one thing. The other is this whole Rebecca thing. I refuse to believe that in this day and age a woman could be this stupid and be able to be used by so many different people. She got used by her mother, Justin, Nora, and now Ryan. Stop Rebecca! When someone is using you get rid of them. Hello? Anybody home? Or are you such a lonely person that you will keep people around even if they use you twenty billion times? Are you a doormat for everyone?

That's the second thing. Next is Kitty. I'm so sick and tired of this, "Oh your running for this office and that office, I totally support you" and then pick a fight with him or just sulk. I mean for the past twenty episodes that's all we've seen from her is her whining and complaining. She's not coming off sympathetic at all. She's coming off as a spoiled bi***. At least that is what everyone around me has said at our Sunday night viewing party.

That's the third thing. Next, Nora needs a new life. Seriously, this woman is so far up her kids butt's that I'm surprised she isn't charging them for an enima. I mean this woman is in everyone's business, trying to fix it all and after every episode it's, "Oh, I now realize I can't fix it all. Well, I'm done with that." Then, the next episode, it's a crisis and who do we hear saying, "Who's in trouble? I've got a solution. Just let me help. I can fix it." Enough already. Let your kids run their own lives and get one of your own. My mother and father have grown kids and they aren't like Nora at all and thank the lord they aren't. I would have moved away and never answered my phone. Give Nora a good story line. I mean I'm a screenwriter and I could give her a million better things to do then to worry about her kids minimal problems.

Now, the few good things. Holly is actually doing good. I liked her, I hated her, now I like her again. Sarah has always been interesting to me and now that she's going to be running the company with Holly, I just can't wait.

I love Kevin and Scotty, but they are hardly on the show anymore. They are one of the best things about the show.

Oh, btw I'm so glad that balthazar getty's character is off the show because I couldn't stand him. "Oh, I stole all this money, but I did it for dad." Please, he must be insane. Then, to leave his wife and child behind like that. I'm sorry again, but unbelievable. I really find it hard to believe that someone who was so gung ho about fighting his case in court would just be like, "Oh, yeah you guys are right. Okay, I'm pleading guilty. I now see the light."

Good episode, but the writers have yet to adequately explain why Justin was, from the start, so against Ryan yet actively pursued a brother/sister relationship with Rebbecca when it was thought that she was a sibling.

I don't think that Nora or Justin have used Rebecca, not to the extent that Holly has maybe with all of her lies to her over her paternity. Ryan might be one to add to the list, b/c we saw a more manipulative side to him here in conveniently telling Rebecca that Justin thinks that they're getting back together and telling her about Tommy fleeing. There's more to the story with Ryan's mother and alleged suicide than what they're telling, but I like the idea that he has dual intentions with the Walkers that are both hostile and possibly sincere. Luke Grimes has really settled into this show well. I'm glad that he's holding his own with this strong ensemble and isn't being overwhelmed yet.

I'm not cheering on Balthazar Getty's exit from the show, but I do see all of the possibilities that Tommy's exit brings for so many of these characters now. Holly saving Sarah like that was crazy, and I can't wait to see where that all goes. You never know exactly what angle Holly's coming from with things. It was terribly convenient for Sarah to be re-instated as president of Ojai and the board dropping all of the charges against Tommy like that, but that's the way that they want to play it, and what can really be done without Holly's cooperation and testimony. I'd rather seen Sarah make her fresh start at the Greenatopia business than being roped back into the family business though. They might as well write Julia and Elizabeth off the show until Tommy gets back, which is unfortunate since they went through the trouble of going through Elizbeth's illness and revealing her paternity from before. I liked Nora trying to help Tommy at her grand opening, but again, that great moment for her was lessened by everything else they were trying to fit into that sequence -- Kitty running into the playground guy (yay Matt Letscher!), Robert getting sick, Sarah trying to call Tommy, Justin and Ryan fighting, and on and on.

I think that the direction this is all going is intriguing, but some of the execution was a bit clumsy here and not as effective as it could have been.

Grade for "Missing": B

Well that's because Tommy is an a-hole. And he always has been. I'm not surprised he would run off without his wife and child, because he is exactly the kind of person to do something like that.

I hope his dumb ass never comes back. Getty is a horrible actor, and Tommy is just a sh*tty ass character. This show is better off without him.

In my opinion the show has gotten much more entertaining since Ryan showed up. I like that he's trying to find out what happened to his mother but I hope that if/when he gets answers that he doesn't take it out on the rest of the Walkers. I sort of like the relationships he is starting to make with Nora and some of the others. I also hope they give more airtime as to why Justin doesn't like him.

I agree though that the Board dropping the charges on Tommy just like that was a little too hokey, but whatever. I guess that sort of made up for that with saying that Ojai's image would be tarnished and they don't want that.

As for Holly; I was shocked too by her being ok with the charges being dropped and by Sarah becoming President. I was sitting there watching her, especially with the look on her face, waiting for her to completely tear into Sarah and Nora and then when she was fine with the idea...I couldn't believe it! It does seem very big of Holly, but I too wonder if she doesn't have some ulterior motive?

I'm also enjoying the arrival of Ryan on this show. He's brought a fresh new element to this show of seeking the truth of his mother's death. I hope that Ryan doesn't start an instant romance with Rebecca.

Nora had to do this exact thing to Kitty's birth mother as well, and even she pointed out the ridiculousness of it.

Daytime soaps have become equally self-aware.

I guess with Sarah back at Ojai, this is the end of the Greenatopia storyline.

Kind of a blah episode if yo u ask me. Nothing of any real substance happened; and i think the Ryan/Rebecca/Justin stuff is NAUSEATING. I really can't decide what ot make of Ryan, is he a jerk? is he just damaged? i don't get it. I like the idea of Sarah back at Ojai, but was looking forward to the greenatopia storyline. I wonder though if legally Sarah could really just walk away from Greenatopia after i would imagine she signed a huge contract with them? and after fighting to become president? I wonder what the future will hold for her and holly working together. will she try to force holly out or will holly try to sabotage her?

Nora was good tonight, lots of good stuff to work with. Kitty was boring tonight as was an increasingly predictable and boring Robert. Kevin definetly knows more than he is letting on about Tommy... i feel like he's helped tommy escape. I loved the Nora/Julia scenes but i do feel they lacked the power they should have had.

Overall Grade: C+/B-

This is the second episode in a row that completely disappointed me, particularly because the movie event and the subsequent episode were so brilliant.

The only thing that saved this episode was Patricia Wettig - gosh darn-it, the woman has emerged IMO as B&S's MVP. Everytime she is on screen, even for a second she captures my attention. What a brilliant actress.

I hate, hate, hate the Rebecca/Ryan/Justin storyline and I really hate how they virtually ignored what could have been some fantastic scenes involving Tommy and Julia...I feel bad for Sarah Jane Morris - she gets less to do than Scotty!

While I think that Sarah and Holly working together will create some good moments, it might get old quick. But, from what I've read at least for the rest of the season at work Sarah will get a new love interest, so that will be interesting.

Rachel Griffiths is one of my favorite actresses and I thought she did a great job in this episode. I'm kind of surprised no one has really mentioned the scene when Sarah calls Tommy, I thought that was such a heart-wrenching moment.

I thought she was great, and she did some of the best work she's done this season. I'm not sure about the screentime, but i thought this would make a great tape for her. I liked that the scene on the phone didn't seem forced or over the top, Griffiths did a good job there.

Yeah, I think it would be a good episode, but I don't think she has enough screen time. In "It's Not Easy Being Green" she has more screen time and is really good in it, but I think I prefer her scene on the phone in this episode. I wish supporting performers could still submit 2 episodes b/ if she could submit "It's Not Easy Being Green" and "Missing" I think she would have a very good chance of winning.

Not a very good episode. Fine performances, that's usual. But the storyline was bland. And Ryan? kill him off already...the mystery is stupid and he's relationship with Rebecca is even worse...
