Cherry was interviewed saying Katherine would have one of the funniest breakdowns ever, so i don;t think she'll be cooking live rabbits or kidnapping MJ and taking him to ride a rollercoaster.
Her breakdown, katherine vs. Susan and Bree's affair with Karl are the only things working.
Synopsis: Gabrielle runs into John Rowland by accident, which irritates Carlos; Bree considers a weekend tryst with Karl; Lynette and Tom tell their kids that she's pregnant again; Susan is suspicious of Angie's son Danny in the wake of Julie's attack.
Guest Star: Jesse Metcalfe

Okay guys I'm going to continue to watch, but I'll try to keep my criticism to a minimum LoL. Tonight's episode is very good. That scene with Susan and Danny's mom was great.
I like this turn in Bree's character.

Wow, this show is actually improving a lot over the last season. I enjoyed all of the storylines!!!! I'm definitely tuning in for next week's episode, it looks hilarious! Drea was great tonight!

That was great. These Bowens continue to confound, and Drea's excellent here already. Love how one-track her devotion to Danny is, and that last scene with Susan was a strong one. I hope that they get to the bottom of Julie's pregnancy scare soon. Bringing John back could have been tired, but having Carlos' jealousy pop back up again, Gabrielle's nostalgia over their affair, and now Ana working for John, there could be some good storylines ahead there. Lynette having to lie to Carlos about being pregnant is interesting, and the dinner scene where Tom got so toasted was fun. Bree and Karl's scene at the benefit with Orson and the dancer was the most lively part of the episode. None of Katherine's delusional silliness elevated the episode too. This season could be a strong one if it keeps things up like this.

Another strong episode. Drea has grown on me and if I see this character as Adriana surviving the hit and got into the witness protection, got a husband and had a kid and they grown in DH time I don't have a problem w/the arc. Marcia Cross is a goddess b/c she nailed her one liners so perfectly.

Wow i'm really impressed with dh and this was the best ep. it's so funny/strange how dh "uglifies" gabi by messing her hair up and putting a stain on her shirt. She still looked great! So is this a vanity thing for elp or is this the writers's definition of "ugly".
Too bad there was no looney Katherine and Julie. But Bree and Karl falling for each other is a good development, although it was too extreme what Bree did to break the rendezvous with Candace. Everything about Lynette's arc was great, with the children's reaction to the pregnancy, to Tom getting drunk and talking about Gabi's boobs, perfection! Susan dramatically pinning him under the car and then helping her neighbor was great. The new housewife isn't growing on me though, and the Drea's acting is too unnatural.
Actually this ep belongs to the men, from tom's drunkeness, the male teens chiding them about the pregnancy, Carlos's pantomiming and Karl's douchery, this ep goes to the guys. They need to keep karl full time and build a great love story around him and Bree.
Jesse Metcalf is still one of the worst actors around, but his char would provide much needed drama between Gabi, Carlos and that boring niece of theirs. It was rather sad when Gabi longingly looked at photos of her and John. A lot of complex emotions can come into play, and it would give Eva a lot to work with.
BTW what happened to the painter that was paired with Susan, and the other twin of Lynette's? Did he go on the run because of his affair? I skipped many eps because last season was mostly awful.

Jackson, the painter, was deported back to Canada before the couple got married for him to stay in USA. Dave tipped off the INS as a plan to get back at Susan.
Lynette mentioned in passing that Preston, not the one with the affair, went to Europe in episode 601. Rumor has it that he'll be back in the disaster episode of the season.

It was a very funny yet dramatic episode, not as riveting as the previous one in my opinion but still on a great level. I’ve got a good feeling about the direction this season is heading to.
Angie came off as a sympathetic character despite her possible dark secret. Her scenes with Susan throughout the episode were amazing, especially towards the end; their faces said it all without any conversations. And I loved that Lynette mentioned how she had been in Angie’s shoes as a mother of an accused child. I wish there would be a storyline about how Susan’s obsession with Julie being attacked will do to her marriage, which brings her back to the car accident that once broke Susan and Mike apart. Anyway I was glad she and Mike would be different and able to work things out this time around.
What went down between Bree and Karl reminded me of what must be the older version of Blair and Chuck in Gossip Girl. Their constant one-liners and Bree’s facial expressions when she saw Karl showing up with a date who was coincidentally Orson’s patient were priceless. And that Candace girl was very funny too. It was pathetic for clueless Orson who drew a conclusion that Bree still had feelings for him. But I still didn’t believe Bree developed that kind of feelings for Karl.
It was more of a Carlos episode than Gabby’s. She didn’t have anything much here. John Rowland, who by the way looks older and chubbier, will come back next week and we’ll see where Gabby stands about the whole situation.
The lectures the Scavo children gave their parents really struck home; it made Tom and Lynette look like irresponsible teenagers who get themselves into trouble. Moreover, Tom and Lynette were quite a team at the dinner table. Maybe the storyline of Lynette’s pregnancy isn’t boring after all, no more I’m-done-with-motherhood stuff.
I hope the writers still keep up the good work, great season so far!
Enjoyable season so far. Eva Longoria Parker has come such a long way since Season 1 as a comic actress, it's just amazing.
The family with the deep-dark secret thing is old, but this year it's worthwhile for Drea. Her miming of the gunshot to the head was priceless, and the kind of macabre humor the show used to do more regularly.
Kudos to Doug Savant for a highly amusing drunk scene, and Marcia Cross is still as hysterically brittle as ever.

Terrific episode! For the first time in like a couple of seasons, they actually made an episode where the main 4 leads had decent storylines. This season is actually off to a great start. I'm impressed. Kudos to you Marc Cherry and crew. I hope you can maintain this.
My only question is why on earth they have to bring Jesse Metcalfe back. At least James Denton now has someone to rival him as the weakest actor of the bunch.

I hate Susan soooo much. Not only she's an extremely annoying idiot, but now she acts like a psycho too. So she feels bad about pointing fingers, but what about the fact that she almost killed that kid? God, I hate her.
And Bree orchestrating to have that girl hurt herself? Really? Has she sunk that low? I understand these women are supposed to be desperate, but come on!
There were some good moments (Doug Savant is awesome), but it was overall quite poor.
Like others, I enjoyed this episode. While it didn't have as many laughs as the previous episode, all the performances were fantastic and the drama/mystery elements worked extremely well. I loved the car scene, and Hatcher handled that scene really well.
The Bree/Karl scenes were funny, but some of Cross's lines sounded forced which surprised me since they almost never do, and these were good ones.
I'm really excited to see where they take Lynette. And Gaby's proving to Carlos that she loved him was nice, but I'm hoping that John was only making one appearance on the show this year, because I don't want to see him dating her again or anything like that. The coda was nice and reminded us that there was a time when she did love John and when she needed him, but now she has her family and Carlos so I'll be disappointed to see them go back there.
By the way I find it funny that they showed John in the "previously"....as if when Jesse Metcalfe's scene came up we were all gonna go "woa...who's this character???"...
Why ruin the surprise for those who didn't know he was coming back?
I don't care what people say, I still think "Desperate Housewives" is a great show. The latest episode was almost perfect. Susan's relentless pursuit of Danny featured fantastic work by Teri Hatcher and Drea DeMatteo and I am becoming genuinely interested in who strangled Julie and what the family's secret is. Lynette's plotline took an amusing twist with her having to lie to Carlos (and thus Gaby) about her pregnancy. Bree's rendezvous with Karl were surprisingly poignant and peppered with delicious one-liners (although we need to get Orson gone ASAP, he's dragging the energy of that plotline down). And John Rowland had a welcome return and the viewers got to feel their own nostalgia through Gaby. A well written, well acted episode that had a little unoriginality here and there but was never anything less than great entertainment.
MVP: DeMatteo and Hatcher Grade: A- Grade for Season Six (so far): A-
- "It must have been a windy day when the apple fell from that tree" - John to Ana - The scene when Lynette told the kids about her pregnancy - "I bet those aren't her only side by side enhancements" - Bree re: Candice - Candice: "I'm a dancer" Bree: "What kind? Jazz, ballet, lap?" Karl: "She was a Rockette" Bree: "Ooh that must have been so hard for you to spend all that time with your legs in the air?" - Susan's confrontation of Danny - Gaby's speech to Carlos - Tom drunk ("Fish suck") - The beautifully rendered ending

EXCELLENT episode. A perfect blend of both comedy and drama. The direction in this episode was really strong too. The scene with Lynette/Tom was actually heartfelt, and the scenes with Gabby & Carlos niece were both funny and sincere. Dana Delaney ROCKED this episode, and although I dislike this regression in character she is knocking it out of the park. I hope DH can sustain this quality because right now its making itself a worthy contender for next year's Comedy race.
MVP: Eva Longoria - She put on the best comedic performance here, and she did a great job with the emotional scenes. Runner Ups: Dana Delaney Felicity Huffman (finally they're letting her character breathe again) Terri Hatcher
Julie and the Bolen dad? That's unexpected. I wonder how all of this happened when the Bolens just moved into town, unless all of this happened somewhere else. That might explain the name change, but that still seems too easy that Nick/Dominic? strangled Julie All of that b/c Julie was tutoring Danny? Kind of bizarre. Julie keeping all of this from Susan for so long was a stretch too. The reaction to Lynette's "twin girls" was funny, and Tom explaining why he's with Lynette was a nice moment. It was obvious where they were going with John and Gabrielle, but I really like Gabrielle turning the page with him and appreciating the worth of her current live. The last scene with Eva Longoria Parker was excellent. It's too bad where they're going with Katherine, but I kind of loved the wedding cake scene and keying Bree's car like that.
