I'm sad to see the conclusion of these two characters, but I can live with it as long as the extra story time is devoted to already existing characters rather than bringing on new characters.

Sad, though not surprised to see their stories are coming to a conclusion. It had to happen eventually and Smash's story would have ended last season had they been able to come back after the strike. I think I'll miss Smash's mom the most. Liz Mikel is beyond amazing.
And I wouldn't mind seeing a new character or two. As long as the character isn't just thrown in there at random (like The Swede) and isn't bland, boring, and played by a horrible actor (like Carlotta).

I'm fine with these two characters departing as long as the series stays on the air!!!!! The fact that we are even discussing what is going to happen in Season 3 is a miracle!
Spoiler: Jason Street's character was pretty much done as of last season. Assuming him and Smash graduate there really isn't anything left for them to do on the series. I'm def. going to miss Smash though, b/c his character probably brought on one of the better story arcs of Season 2. I can't wait to see what else Season 3 has in store!
