I think 30 Rock will shine in this category w/4 of the five nominees being from that show (Arnett, Broderick, Schwimmer, & Winters). I know it might be a pipe dream but I think it is goin to happen. Bridges is the final nominee.
The Actress is goin to be fill w/veterans (Burstyn & Huston) an Oscar winner (Sorvino), an Emmy winner (Nixon) and an newcomer (Smollett).

All I know is that 30 Rock better get A LOT of slots. Arnett, Winters and Schwimmer definetly...DEFINETLY! need to be nominated and all three are worthy of a win....
I'd like Beau Bridges to return as a nominee for Earl. He was a nominee last year with Giovanni Ribissi in what seemed to be undeserved nominations and a very weak field...But this year he was amazing and he totally deserves it....
This Jurnee Smollett person....I don't know what the deal here is...Who is she? Where did she come from? Why so much GoldDerby love? She was fine in Grey's but I'm seeing way too much love and I don't get where it's comming from....From a board that's almost over Grey's Anatomy (except for Sara Ramirez---yet another puzzle), I don't get the excitement over this girl....
I think Smollett is an amazing actress and she would be deserving for a nomination, but that is just me.
I'M CHANGING MY PREDIX, EVEN THOUGH IT COULD HAPPEN OR NOT I'M PREDICTING BRIDGES. SURE EARL IS OFF THE RADAR OF THE ATAS, BUT SO IS DH AND I THINK JUST LIKE DH (GUEST ACTRESS), EARL WILL BE RECOGNIZED IN THIS CATEGORY

Kamel was never nominated. You're probably thinking of Stanley Tucci, who won last year. I think Kamel was entered in the Supporting race before, though. I'm not 100% certain on that.
However, I think the only Monk actor that has a chance in guest actor is Alfred Molina, and he's even on the bubble. The 30 Rock actors are going to dominate in Guest Actor Comedy, so there's probably going to be limited spaces.

I really hope Beau Bridges is nominated. Earl has no buzz but he was really great this season. They fleshed out his character some more with the drug episode, and he was still funny.
And, i don't care who is in the Drama Guest Actress category as long as Ellen Burstyn is nominated and wins. No one comes close in terms of the impact her performance had. I'm not a regular viewer of Big Love was blown away.

Ditto to both Bridges and Burstyn. I love all the 30 Rock guys, but Beau Bridges hands down deserves to win for "No Heads and a Duffel Bag"; he was simply flawless there, and that scene with Michael Pena (as the drug dealer) was just pitch perfect.
As for Burstyn, there really should be no competition. She too was stunning in her episode, and if there's any justice both she and Jeanne Tripplehorn will be nominated (and win). It's funny how she can go from utter critisism (Mrs Harris) to utter praise (Big Love).

I feel like there might be at least one additional Law & Order: SVU actress nominated. Who? Beats me...they always seem to sneak in somehow. Last year, one of them won the award. I don't really want to make predictions for these categories, b/c let's face it...its near imposible (with the exception of those categories that we have the Top 10 lists for).
As long as I see Will Arnett and Amy Ryan nominated...I will be happy.
I will be even more happy if Charles Durning, Jurnee Smollett, and Elaine Stritch are nominated.
The only thing that could make me even more happy then if all of the above were nominated is if no-chance-in-hell Shareeka Epps gets nominated for her guest work on L&O:SVU...but like I said...prob. no chance at all of this happening. One can wish!

Even though she was a surrprise in the supporting drama actress pre-lims, I am hoping Sharon Gless is nominated for her role (guest actress drama) as Colleen Rose from Nip/Tuck. Even though the show is in the tank, she was one of the few bright spots this past season. She did a hell of a job playing creepy and sick, and is totally deserving of a nomination in the guest actress category.

I agree. Gless was amazing on Nip/Tuck. I know the show is declining, but she was fantastic this season. She's absolutely deserving of a nomination in drama guest actress.

I have a gut feeling Gless may be able to make it in, especially considering the surprise in the Supporting Actress drama Top 10. It's also the most scenery-chewing, take-the-cake type of acting this side of Jill Clayburgh's emmy nominated turn during Season 2; that, and you know, she hands down deserves to be in the running, almost as much as Ellen Burstyn does.
