Marc Cherry has said in the past that this show will NEVER have stunt casting. So I'd imagine if it gets to that point then he is probaby ready to throw in the towel.
Besides there seems to be a rumor of this kind every few months for the show.

Marc Cherry didnt say NEVER. He sayd he wouldnt want to be one of these shows with a superstar guest every week...
Apparently, casting for the twin boys started last week and casting for Parker (the non-twin) starts soon. The twins are trouble-makers, but Parker is a nice smart 14-year-old boy and a bit of a techno geek. Also, Penny is now a 9-year-old girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. Penny and Parker are series regulars, the twins are reccuring as is Susan and Mike's son Maynard who is now 5 years old.

In regards to the DH ladies, keep in mind that they are the only contenders in the Lead Actress category with internal competition from their own co-stars. That can be a plus, though, because the judging panel will see at least 3 DH episodes and maybe 4 if Eva makes the cut.
Taking a look at the 4 episodes submitted, can some of the DH regular viewers offer a ranking/summary of each lady and how they might benefit from multiple episodes viewed by the judging panel? In other words, how many good-great scenes do each of them have when combining all 4 episodes together??

As a reminder...
Marcia Cross - "Now You Know"
Teri Hatcher - "Hello Little Girl"
Felicity Huffman - "Now I Know, Don't Be Scared"
Eva Longoria - "In Buddy's Eyes"
Based on the quality of the performance:
1.Marcia Cross is first because of the "oh my baby" line and her asking for a second chance to be a good mother. (Although i belive the second episode of the season was a better choice...)
2. Felicity Huffman is a tie with Eva Longoria Parker cause the episode Eva submited had her amazing break down (remember the "Where 's the toothpaste" line). Huffman also had a good comedy drama switch at the episode, and she got cured from cancer thus a lot of good acting was needed and she handled it well...
3. Terry Hatcher, is fourth...she did performe well when she confronted Orson and when she was crying due to her pregnancy (cause of her hormones)...But i think she wasnt as good as her castmates...
BOOMER-
Dana Delany submitted the second episode of the season (as a Suporting actress in a Comedy Series)...Since i think it had a great performance by Marcia Cross i was wondering whether Marcia's performance in that episode will influence the emmy voters when deciding if she is going to get nominated???...
No, the Lead Actress voting panel will never see the Supporting Actress episodes (or vise versa). They aren't allowed to vote in another comedy category.
1. Marcia Cross id defintely number one. She benefits the most. She nailed her submission, shes fantastic in Eva's tape, she;s fantastic in Felicity's tape, and she's good in Teri's tape as well. Should get the nomination first.
As for the rest;
Teri is good for most of her submission, fantastic in Marcia's tape, and has some great range in Felicity's tape and very funny in Eva's.
Eva is hilarious in her tape but shes iffy with her "breakdown" scenes as always. She doesnt make much of an impact in Felicitys but I guess the scenes with the seeing eye dog in Hatcher's submission are funny.
Felicity's submission is where she finds shes cured from cancer but the rest of the storyline is stupid. Its the rodent is a metphor for cancer but people wont be able to enjoy her chasing the rodent around all episode. Shes naggy and annoying in Hatcher and Longoria's tapes with the Rick stuff.

in Eva's submission Teri had the whole Orson naked sleepwalking which was hilarious, Marcia had the Founder's Day Ball planning with Katherine where shes poisons her(also hilarious), and Lynette dealt with Tom and Rick not getting along and thinking Tom started the fire at Rick's.
In Teri's submission Eva competed with the seeing eye dog, Bree kicked out Orson and Lynette was still dealing with the Rick drama.

Expect them to buy Lynette's stuff, and ends her getting a nomination.
I'm not hating on Huffman because it's not as if she forces the writers to give all this baity stuff to her. so, if she gets a nom, it will be undeserving but she made a wise choice so what can we do?

I love Felicity, but she does NOT deserve a nomination based off the episode she submitted. Now if she had submitted The Game on the other hand, that's a different story. I'm so sick of Felicity getting these nominations in her sleep while the other women on her show (COUGH EVA LONGORIA COUGH) continuously get snubbed again and again.
Oh and I adore Teri & Marcia too, but I honestly want to slap the **** out of both of them for choosing the episodes they did--particularly Teri. I know Marcia said she lets her agent pick, but maybe that's the problem. Didn't she let Marc Cherry select last year or the year before? Do it yourself for once! Or listen to us!
