I wouldn't compare rest with them. Nicollette Sheridan was fantastic in seasons 1 & 3, pretty good in season 2 and blah with very good episodes since then. She was better than Alfre Woodard in season 2 (who, IMO, deserved her Emmy nom, and please, don't kill me) but Dana Delany blew her and mostly the rest of the cast out of space during season 4. In season 5 Delany and Sheridan are pretty on the same level (a'la FH/ELP higher).
Kathryn Joosten is and always will be guest so for me it's fun to rank Emmy nominees from that category:

This just seems wrong and kind of mean. It's also hard to rank them since so much depends on what storyline they're give, but I'll rank them by season.
Season 1: 1. Teri Hatcher 2. Marcia Cross 3. Felicity Huffman 4. Nicolette Sheridan 5. Eva Longoria(not that she was bad, the other 4 were just better)
Season 2: 1. Marcia Cross 2. Longoria 3. Teri Hatcher(sucked until mid-season) 4. Felicity Huffman(wasn't given anything to do until the final few episodes) 5. Alfre Woodard 6. Sheridan
Season 3: 1. Hatcher(for me, the best comedic lead on television that year) 1.5 Felicity Huffman 3. Nicolette Sheridan 4. Marcia Cross 5. Longoria 6. Joosten
Season 5: 1. Longoria Parker 2. Huffman(she's been amazing since they got rid of that twins in trouble storyline, even though she rocked that as well) 3. Teri Hatcher(she needs a more solid storyline) 4. Nicolette Sheridan (when she's shown up, she's been hilarious) 5. Marcia Cross 6. Dana Delaney
These are all strong actresses. I'm glad that Huffman has her emmy, but voters should have rewarded Teri Hatcher in Season 3, Marcia Cross in either Season 2 or Season 4, and Dana Delaney in Season 4. Longoria-Parker really deserves a nod for her work this year. It's a shame they're ignored by the emmys, but the writers(who are really inconsistent) are to blame for that.

I loved Harriet Sansom Harris' character. I would love if they brought her back.
