Please scroll down to towards the bottom on the page to read nominations and then vote!
In usual fashion it has taken me a bit of times to catch up on shows, but here are the top 10 lists for my 4th annual TV awards. Due to the respect I have for the opinions held on this board once again I would like to ask for your help in determining the nominations and eventual winners. YES, YOU CAN VOTE.
All you need to do is rank the lists from 1 to 10 (1 being best and no ties allowed). You can mark this however you like, just be sure to make it clear. All your votes will then be added up to get a GoldDerby rank. I have already secretly ranked the lists. The scores will be combined 50/50 with half being the Noble vote and the other half being the GoldDerby forum vote.
You may vote in as many or as few categories as you like.
You may submit your vote by just posting it in this thread or sending me a PM if you wish for your vote to be anonymous.
I will close voting in a week from now but reserve the right to extend that depending on number of responses.
Keep in mind that these awards are for the US television season of 2008-2009 and the eligibility period mirror that of this years Emmys. Further eligibility rules regarding these awards can be found underneath the lists.
So without further ado here are the lists:

RULES AND PROCEDURES Any performance that was submitted for the emmys this year was only considered in the category they submitted themselves in. For example Rose Byrne only was considered for supporting. If an actor failed to submit themselves (e.g. Terry O’Quinn) I am allowed to place them in whatever category I see fit. Furthermore if someone is submitted for the Emmys in a category I do not have a category for I may place them in a category if I deem it appropriate (e.g. Colbert).
I make a concerted effort to see at least some work any top 10 placer. However I will make the disclaimer this year that I have not yet seen the Battlestar Galactica or Pushing Daisies finals yet but due to my affection for those series thought their finals should be at least up for consideration in this round.
The top 5 scores at the end of the 50/50 tabulation will become the nominees. If there is a tie that means 5 noms can not be reached then the number of noms will reflect the closest possible to 5. If there are 2 possibilities here the higher one will be granted. For example if 2 shows tie for 5th then both will get in and there will be 6 noms but if 3 shows tie for 5th then none will get in and the category will only have 4 noms.
Feel free to make any comments, ask any questions or lodge any queries in this thread… and of course vote!

thanks, saw my first Chuck episode (vs. Seduction) the other day in order to judge it for these and was really impressed. Funny, entertaining and something different to everything else on tv. I wanted to put Levi in, he was my 11th. There's a few slots opening in the top 10 for next year so hopefully he can easily slip in.

G'Day, Thanks to those who have already voted, all I can say at the moment is that they are adding up very interestingly.
I don't think my opening post covered this but in tabulating the votes I give people's first rank 10 points, 2nd 9, etc... once all votes are in and points allocated I give the highest score first place on the GoldDerby ranking and so on. 1st place gets on the ranking gets 50 points, 2nd 45 and do on. That is added to the score from my rank (which also has 1st place on 50 points, etc...) and when the scores are combined (for a total out of 100) the top 5 get nominated. Sorry if that's confusing. Feel free to make any queries.
Anyway get your votes in guys, would love as many people's input as possible. Only a few more days until I'm meant to close off voting.
Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series "What's Next?"

G'Day, well voting was meant to end a few days ago but I forgot. So I am going to give a 2 day extension from now, so come on guys lets get some more votes in. JUST RANK THE CATEGORIES AND POST IT HERE OR PM ME. The last set bumped someone up from ranked 7th to 1st on the combined totals so you can have quite an effect.
I'll also add that most of the top 10 lists were hard to put together. Some because there were so many quality contender and others because I was struggling to find 10. The very hardest was Drama series where I was strongly considering 18 different series (all of which I had least seen a sample episode of) and the difference between 3rd and 16th was not that much at all.

No worries at all, people can just do it in whatever way is easiest for them (as long as it is clear enough what the preferences are). I want this to be as un-teadious as possible.

I have ranked the noms giving 1st 50 points, 2nd 40pts, and so on. You vote for your favourite in each category and I will tally everyone's votes. If 1 person votes, each vote is worth 10 points, if 2 - 7 people vote each vote is worth 8 pts, if 8 - 11 people vote each vote is worth 6 pts, if 12 - 23 people vote each vote is worh 4 pts, if 24+ people vote each vote is worth 2 pts. So get voting by picking your favourite in each category and posting them here.
in the event of a tie the contender scoring the highest score from the godderby votes will be the winner. If there is a 2nd tie then the contender scoring the highest score from Noble will be the winner (this will alternate in this fashion if there are even further draws). In this unlikley scenario it will be Noble's discretion as to which category his favourite wins and which category the goldderby favourite wins).
