Ellen Pompeo jumps out at me first. She has definitely come into her own these past few years but she'll never get a nomination if she couldn't in season 2 and 3. That's definitely a shame when you have Emmy voters rubber stamping Sally Field who didn't deserve a nomination last year and doesn't this year (so far).
Kyle Chandler, Friday Night Lights Bill Paxton, Big Love Jeanne Tripplehorn, Big Love Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights Leighton Meester, Gossip Girl (I know, but she is great as Blair)

Ellen Pompeo never really impressed me until the 3rd season where her mother died. She had a couple of excellent episodes then.
I'd say the TRIFECTA - from Big Love. It is my favorite show, although I don't like Bill Paxton's work on it.
"Notorious was nice, but it’s not in the color purple range" "Angels and Demons may get nominated for cinematography the imagery was profound" "District Nine will definitely win for best foreign film it made money and everyone loved it" ~ 8movies

Yes she was. I think she is going to win the SAG because this is her 7th nomination and she has never won before. If she doesn't I wonder if Frances Fishers email will be to blame.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories
Of course, Lauren Graham will always come to the surface of my memory when this question gets asked. Hopefully, her new ABC series won't be similar to the network's typical female-bating silly trifle ala "Samantha Who?" and "Ugly Betty" and will have some edge.
The current title holders of ignored lead performers definately goes to Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler.
Congrats Kristen! All the PD haters can (SPOILER ALERT) Suck it!
I actually have to agree with that. Though I'm never hugely impressed by her, I don't get all the Kate hate. I find her character the most consistantly written on the series, and Lilly emotes with typical grace.

Courteney Cox for Friends. And I will always be bitter at the Emmys for that.
Anyways... Ellen Pompeo for Grey's Anatomy [from Season 3 onwards] Jason Lee for My Name is Earl [ever since the show began] Eva Longoria for Desperate Housewives [she was good in Seasons 2, 4, and 5, and was alright in the first season] Bill Paxton in Big Love [twice snubbed] Kyle Chandler [Friday Night Lights]
and it will enevr happen but..
LEIGHTON MEESTER in Gossip Girl. Pure perfection.
I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

It sucks that as the shows falls further and further into stupidity, Pompeo gets better and better. She could have NEVER pulled off that final scene in this weeks episode 3 years ago. I'd honestly rather see her nominated than Sally Field (not that I don't like Sally Field, it just seems like she never does anything that should give her awards attention like some of the others).
- Kevin Connolly
He was finally recognized by the Globes this year. I'm hoping and praying the Emmys will do the same. (Because do we really need to see Tony Shaloub or Charlie Sheen nominated again? Ew, no thanks.)
- Matthew Fox
I know the majority of Lost fans hate him, but this guy brings it every week. And c'mon, Lost wouldn't be the same without the jears he always brings. lol.
Jason Clarke, "Brotherhood" Jason Isaacs, "Brotherhood" Matthew Fox, "Lost" Evangeline Lilly, "Lost" David Duchovny, "Californication" Eva Longoria Parker, "Desperate Housewives" Jason Lee, "My Name Is Earl" Calista Flockhart, "Brothers & Sisters" Bill Paxton, "Big Love" Jeanne Tripplehorn, "Big Love"
Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!
