Hey everyone, I dont think a thread like this exists. If it does, feel free to shut me down! ... Anyway, I thought it might be interesting if we had a discussion of our thoughts on the new shows of the season and how we would grade them... So based on everything I've seen so far (including some pilots that haven't aired yet), here are my grades....
Glee: A+ Modern Family: A Flash Forward: A V: A- Cougar Town: B + The Good Wife: B + Melrose Place: B The Vampire Diaries: B- Community: C Mercy: C Accidentaly on Purpose: C- 100 Questions: D + the forgotten: C Trauma: B- Jay Leno Show: D

Glee: B+ Modern Family: A Community: B The Good Wife: A Accidently On Purpose: B- Melrose Place: C- Eastwick: C+ Cougartown: B- The Forgotten: B+ NCIS: Los Angeles: D+ The Beautiful Life: TBL: D- Mercy: F (awful show in pretty much every way. NBC should have just kept ER for another season, this show is god-awful, any first time writer could have written this cliched, unoriginal and most uninpsiring show).
So far this is a pretty unusually better than average crop of pilot's, it'll be interesting to see which one's hold people's interest for the longest.

My TiVo probably hates me right now...between long work hours and studying for a professional test I am way behind. Here's what I have so far, and I will update:
Glee- A (would be A+ without the pregnancy plot)
Community- B- (most disappointing after so much critical hype)
Melrose Place- C (exactly what you expect minus the camp)
Parks and Rec- B+ (I know it was midseason, but the premiere played like a pilot- characters have been retooled, relationships more defined and understandable- so I'm counting it as a do-over. MUCH improved!)
Still on TiVO: The Good Wife Modern Family Cougar Town Flash Forward (will be) plus all my other returning shows!
I think that's all I'm gonna have time to explore at this point, but I will post as I catch up.

Courgartown: B+ (Cox was fantastic in the pilot)
I have to say between Glee, Modern Family, Courgartown & Community we have some very strong new comedies. Hopefully at least one or two of these shows can maintain great levels and keep the ratings/buzz so we can get some new blood in the comedy races.

Add: Cougar Town A- (Courteney Cox is hopefully headed towards her first Emmy nomination; rest of the characters are perfectly cast)

That's all I wanted to even see and I was forced to watch Glee, which started out good but has consistently got weirder and sillier. It's turning in a Nip/Tuck type weird show.
