I'd love to be able to come in here and say something....anything happened last week, but sadly I cant think of a single thing that interested me on screen. Laura Wright gave some pretty good performances but thats about it.
There is a recent trend on this show that both baffles and disturbs me (OK - maybe 'disturbs' is a bit dramatic, but stay with me.)
Has anybody else noticed how death and tragedy are huge aphrodisiacs to the residents of Port Charles?
-Emily, who was Elizabeth's best friend and Jason's beloved sister, was brutally murdered. How do they deal with their grief? By hitting the sheets right after the funeral.
-Robin is distraught over losing Georgie, the young woman who she considered a little sister. How does she deal with her grief? By hitting the sheets with Patrick right after the funeral.
-Young Michael is placed in a special needs facility after a shooting to the head has left him in a permanent coma. How do his grieving parents, the feuding Sonny and Carly, deal with their grief? By hitting...oh, you get the picture.

What is the deal?
I can answer that: GUZA (just sayin) Speaking as a male, I would never do a girl when she's grieving. I mean the last thing ppl think about while grieving is SEX, but Guza doesn't get that I guess?

just my thoughts on my favorite soap. LAURA WRIGHT deserves and should win the EMMY for lead actress. SHE IS BEYOND AMAZING!!!!! I love Robin and Patrick and the way there doing the story. I WANT robert and anna back though!!!! Please oh please dont have Claudia and Jason hook up. I WANT LIZ and JASON!!! Plus Sarah Brown is so overrated!!!! GET THE ZACHARRAS OFF!!!!! Loving Kristen Storms and Bradford anderson!!!! And FINALLY, PLEASE FIRE MEGAN WARD!!!! The worst actress on daytime and the worst charachter on daytime!!!! UGGH everytime i see her on screen(which seems like all the time) i want to gag and throw up!!!!!
I don't hardly watch this show. But I do watch OLTL. I usually get up and do something right after OLTL and catch the first part of GH. I'm just curious if GH is going to continue to write the same scene over and over.
- Patrick: "I want to be a father!" - Robin: "But you can't. You said before you weren't ready!"
Same. Old. Crap. Like seriously nothing changes with these two.

I will never forgive the show for killing off Emily Quartermaine. To make up a character tied to a core family only to have her become the victim of a publicity stunt is unforgiveable. Even though I feel this is irredeemable, I feel it would be a brutal mistake to not pair Claudia with Nikolas. The potential is incredible between these two and I can honestly say that I am enjoying the Zaccharas whereas, the Alcazars and Ruizes, I was not a big fan of. This show does a brilliant job of creating arc stories that are enjoyable, but most of the time, innocent people are killed in the crossfire. However, the Metro Court Hostage Crisis was the best thing I saw on daytime television last year and they deserved the Emmy hands down with those Emmy submissions. Afterall, it is the Emmy submissions that decide the winner. Well, that and favoritism and voting for your best friend.
im gonna be honest. sarah brown is not overrated and i am pretty sure if she's nominated she will win another emmy. she has that big secret. and as for lw it ticks me off to see sb bashed at the expense of lw, who hasnt been making anything happen as carly before sb returned. i think she is the frontrunner for lead actress but i was wanting sarah back badly because of the carjax pairing and the fact that lw was vocal some time ago about not wanting carson back together. lw would rather work with the person she has no chemistry and is boring with. lw is nowhere close to brown's league. this is just my opinion. brown will get better stuff coming up.
Im just so sick of Claudia!!! Shes one note and annoying. Her and Kate need to be taken off. I dont mind some of the mob stuff, but this is GENERAL HOSPITAL, and not GENERAL MOB HOSPITAL!!!!!
If it weren't for Laura Wright and Kirsten Storms, this show would be completely unwatchable.
No kidding. And Julie Berman is now rivaling Adrienne Frantz in the bottomless pit of annoyance department. She is only watchable to me when Lulu is in a scene with Maxie. With anyone else ESPECIALLY Johnny I'd rather chew on glass.

I just read that Genie Francis is coming back to GH at the end of August. It is only going to be a short visit but will deal with Lulu. Genie Frances told the AP that she was willing to come back for a longer stay but that PTB were not interested

I'm excited for what Genie Francis's return could bring out Julie Berman. If you all remember, before Berman's acting became the bane of my existence, she delivered one of the best performances of last year when Lulu had to say goodbye to Laura. She was robbed of that Emmy. Maybe the return of Francis can get another knockout performance from her.
It's a sad friggin' day when Genie Francis WANTS a longterm deal but GH gives her a short stint.
This show is in SUCH NEED of new blood, but with all these dang record-breaking Emmy's, it will never happen.

GH has a great cast, but Guza's lazy, inane writing is making everyone look bad. I swear, the guy must have such contempt for this show to do what he's done to it over the last several years. And his endless infatuation with Sonny, Jason and all things mob is beyond inexplicably stupid. If Night Shift's new HW Sri Rao does a good job with that show, Frons needs to hire him to clean up GH (yeah, I know, but I can dream, can't I?).
I don't ususally do this but i have to defend Guza, at least to an extent. Yes it's true he is largely responsible for the take over of the mob and the turning all female characters into whimps/selfish witches/victims and for the endless focus on sonny and jason but to be fair that isn't entierly his fault, i mean he has to have been told to write for these characters and i'm pretty sure that Jill Farren Phelps and Brian Fronz are equally guilty for what has happened to "GH". The hiring of JFP and the intense focus on the mob definetly have a direct correlation to one another. The show was actually pretty focused under past executive producers.
Now i agree Guza plays a large role in all this and is certianly not innocent, but it's not fair to blame it all on him.
Ron Carvalit, you are my hero!

Did anybody else notice the hidden Emmy Awards in today's episode? There was one in Anthony's home, the holding pen at the PCPD, Kate's office, outside the window at Jax and Carly's home, Jason's apartment and one in Johnny and Claudia's apartment. Is this a promo the show is running, or just a fun wink to the audience?
