According to Melodie over at Daytim Confidential, there is a rumor floating around that GL has FINALLY recast the role of Marah Lewis in the form of ex-AMCer SABINE SINGH (ya know, the "fake Greenlee.")
I would have prefered a Laura Bell Bundy return, but I'm just glad Marah might finally be coming back to Springfield. It's made NO sense that Marah & Shayne - the children of Josh & Reva - have been absent for so long.
Here's to hoping Marah gives mommie dearest a mouthful for being engaged to one of her ex's!
If this turns out to be true good for Sabine (even though I think Martha Madison would've been more believable as Kim Zimmer's daughter). I like her as Greenlee b/c she acted the hell out of what she was given and wasn't given a fair shake.

Couldn't act to save his LIFE...but that was one of the few times it didn't matter, that man was HOT! I'm close to giving Lawerence St. Victor the same pass.
Remember the ever-so "controversial" ass shot of Marty West during a sex scene with West's Shayne & Aubrey Dollar's Marina? LOL! Had to love that bleep that was the John Conboy era.
Anyway, back to Marah... (I too think Madson would have been good, but certainly like Singh and think she got **** on by AMC. If it's true, good for CBS for casting a mistreated ABC star for a change.)

I've always thougth Marah should have been a prominent character in Springfield. She is Reva's daughter for crying out loud. But when Tom Pelphrey came in, the entire show became about his relationship with Reva. She forgot she had three other children. And to think of it...why was Brian Gaskill hired as Dylan when he's NEVER had a storyline?
There are just endless possibilities with Reva's children. Dylan could have turned out to be ruthless and tried to take over the company. Shayne (wihout Marty West reprising the role) would have been ideal to pair back up with Marina, or even have a torrid affair with Dinah. Marah could turn out to be a lesbian. Endless...possibilities...
But I digress, this is GL and I think they're a shinking ship and have been since Ellen Weston and John Conboy took over in the early 2000s. GL has been relatively unwatchable ever since. And there's no way Marah would give Reva a mouthful about being with her ex, Jeffery, because I've yet to hear the two women pining for Bill (Lizzie and Ava, respectfully) mention how he was married to BOTH of their mothers.
Guiding Light is really nothing but fillers. All these writers have yet to come up with a compelling story to draw me in. Every week it's Bill and Lizzie send each other mixed signals; Alan mopes around; and always, always, always someone in the Jeffery/Reva/Josh/Cassie ends up in a lip lock with someone they shouldn't and it's blown into mosterous porportions and leads NOWHERE.

Michelle Ray Smith (whom I gave the very same pass) is in that same arena, eh?

Um, I REALLY don't like MRS. Marty West was at least tollerable as an actor. MRS has been given 3 or 4 storylines to prove that she was more than a pretty face, and to me - she never has. Well, until the last 2 performances, but its all a little too later for her. I say good riddance to bad rubbish.
I'm harsh - i know, but the sooner that joke is done wasting space on my favorite soap, the happier I will be.

LOL! Well, hopefully we'll never have to use that abbreviation on this board ever again!
I wish her the best of luck with her baby, her boyfriend, and her modeling career - just STAY AWAY FROM ACTING, PLEASE!!!
MRS was really pregnant? That I did not know.

Marty West was a really a bad actor. The problem with Brian Haskill was he never filled the void left by Morgan England. Also, Brian never seemed right for the role and the age difference between him and Beth Elhers seemed obvious. He was a little too young for the part.
