Bree Williamson as Jessica Buchanan (One Life To Live)
With all the reveals and fine performances on the show this week, Williamson managed to fearlessly outshine the Emmy winners around her as Jessica was faced with the shocking death of her husband, Nash, at the hands of the man (Jared) who'd been decieving her entire family and sleeping with her knowing sister, Natalie. And to top this wonderful sundae of deception off was the fact that Jared is actually the son of the man (Charlie) who her mother is in love with. With a multi-layered plethera of interweaving deciet and emotions Williamson never missed a step and attacked the material with a terrific and authentic blend of shock, anger, fear and ultimately sorrow. Alot of times when I hear a soap character is being killed and I tune in I tend to notice when everyone around them is preparing to turn on the waterworks. Williamson and the rest of the cast REALLY conveyed a sense of shock and abruptness I hadn't seen in soaps in quite some time. Williamson's heartbreaking reaction when a dying Nash draws a heart on her palm is an Emmy clip from soap heaven! She should send Ron a bouquet for the stuff he gave her to play. From her chapel scene where she told God she's the one that should have died last year to tearfully telling Nash "You saved me....I wish there was something I could do to save you..." to bitch-slapping and tearing into Natalie, asking her to go downstairs and explain to her daughter how she will never see her father again because she was "so desperate to get laid" Williamson lived and meant every single word, tear, and breath.

Kim Zimmer! They havent written much for Reva, but ever since Jeffery got shot and her movie has started filming, all the pent up emotions inside Reva are starting to boil over and onto the surface. Zimmer turned in two very solid performances Thurs & Friday and she began to deal with the feelings her movie is stiring, her grandaughter who finds herself motherless, and her feelings for Jeffery being questioned as Josh slowly creeps in.

Williamson was good, but it's relatively easy to shine when your husband has a fatal accident just before you get the chance to tell him you're carrying your second child. For me, Strasser was definitely tops. Dorian was remorseful enough about the trouble she was causing to make me sympathize with her, but she had enough conviction of her actions that I also loved watching her do it. She was perfection all week long.
Arianne Zuker. It's always like a pleasant surprise when Nicole shows true emotion and vulnerability, because Zuker plays the drunken golddigger so well. But this week she was just as effective showing that Nicole is a guarded and frightened woman, one who never knew how to make others care about her the way she cared about them, and who feels like she's lost everything she ever cared about.
