GL has been pulling out all the stops lately and I have been impressed. From Coop’s death to Phillips return, the writing has been really good and the cast has been bringing it. The casting call for Michelle Bauer Santos has been out and surprisingly the word on who may be playing the role has been under wraps for the most part. There’s a rumor that Martha Madison (ex-Belle, Days) was going to get the role. I would rather see her as Marah Shayne, but hey. The actress who I think will fit what the casting director is looking for is Sabine Singh (ex-Greenlee, AMC). The girl is a talent and got F.U.C.K.E.D., by the Frons and for what? I think she would be a welcome addition to the cast and I would love for her to be my first real experience w/Michelle, b/c I only saw Nancy towards the end and I heard great things about Rachel Miner & Bethany Joy Galeotti and it would tickle me pink that Singh would be taking on another role from Rebecca Budig, from what I understand didn’t make an impact. So TPTB I am putting it out in the universe cast Sabine as Michelle.

I think it's foolish to recast the role when they should just bring back St. Alban. Why alienate viewers when you can make a move that would appease the people like me who were p-i-s-s-ed that they wrote off St. Alban and Stewart. If Stewart is not returning, why bring back Michelle? It would be a slap in the face to the viewers.

If they insist on recasting, Singh would be a fine choice, but I'm over P&G's obsession with recasting every possible role.

I'm with Crystal. While I'm glad they've finally decided to bring this very important character back to Springfield, why the hell not get one of the 3 previous successful actresses who have played the role?

Yes, Buddig was miscast in the role; but, Rachel Minor, Bethany Joy Galeotti (formerly Joie Lenz), and Nancy St. Alban were all highly successful at portraying this rich character. Were any of them even asked to come back?

I'd much rather have a good, familiar face from the past, who is willing to return, than yet another newbie running around town. Sure, they could be the second coming, and maybe I'm showing my age (a ripe ol' 29), but Rachel, Bethany, or Nancy should be asked first. If they all say NO, then FINE! Recast. At least GL is nowhere near as bad as ATWT in terms of quality or recasts.

I didnt care for Nancy at all (I know alot did I just wasnt one of them lol) so I am glad they are recasting. I think Michelle is a needed core character at this point.

I read somewhere they talked to Nancy and she is preggers and wasnt interested. I think Bethany is still on OTH so I doubt she'd be interested. Not sure about Rachel she left so long ago I dont know if she would be a good fit for adult Michelle.

There are a couple audition taped floating around that arent too bad so it makes me think they at least have some decent options.

i agree it would be a slap to viewers if michelle came back without danny. the santos' family needs to return, and then they can get rid of bonnie dennison, the grady actor, mandy bruno, jessica leccia(sorry, nelson, but i dont like nalivia because i cant stand jl), and is e.j. bonilla gone? him too. the manny pairing and carmen is one of the missing links of gl.
