this is off of a post from sc that came off of a website called wrap.com. according to this source, braeden has re-signed with the show and has agreed to take the pay cut. now i dont know how accurate this is, being that it is off some website i have never heard of.
I think this was all orchestrated to get the show media attention, and it worked.
With GH gaining movie star and great actor James Franco, and the return of Jonathan Jackson, GH had the momentum for ABC. NBC's days had their own momentum thanks to Crystal Chappell's publicity.
So CBS had to cook up something, hence this renewal drama.
i pretty much pointed out a couple weeks back that this wouldnt last. i didnt fall for the sleazak rumor, the strasser situation, even scott's situation, and i certainly wasnt falling for this one. i think these actors realize that once they are not working, they feel as if they lost something. they don't realize that money and greed gets in the way of what they have been doing for years. it hits them once they are without it and cannot stay away.
I don't think it's fair characterize a lot of what's been going on as greed on the part of the actors necessarily. I believe Eric Braeden when he says that it's about the way you are treated. It's hard to feel respected when the brass is being cold and dismissive with you and offering you some unpleasant percentage of a current salary that's already been slashed. And who wants to work somewhere they don't feel respected?
well for him to say he isnt coming back then to suddenly renew three days later tells me he cared about his job and couldn be without it. i dont know if it was a stunt but if it wasnt, the theory of mine has to have been a factor. or he was just taking his time enjoying a vacation while everyone else was left dealing with fan rage.

Obviously, Braeden does. He's not a man of his word. Don't publicly state you have no intention of coming back unless you're poised to follow through. This reeks of a cheap stunt. Thank God I quit watching this fiasco.
