Immediate Reactions: WOW @ most of DAYS Nice surprises: Hubbard and Pinson over at ATWT (well deserved) and Hennesy at GH Surprising category placement: Chappell and Tognoni's category swaps and Minshew's continuing in supporting (BS!) Awkward: if TB is nominated for Days and still on contract at AMC
Alicia Minshew in supporting is just total BS. She's been a lead for a long time now. Although having said that I personally wouldn't have given her a pre-nomination anyway. And I would've bumped Eakes for Susan Lucci.
Yay for Tamara Braun actually getting pre-nommed for Days. Not the greatest storyline ever but she sold the heck out of it. But those Days lead nods for Koslow and Jones are crazy.
I really like B&B's pre-noms except for younger actress.
Once again for me my favourite category is supporting actress.

I'm laughing so hard at the DAYS prenoms I'm almost crying. What a shock! Renee Jones and Lauren Koslow as leads? Thaao Penghlis prenommed again?
I guess I'm glad that Tamara Braun got prenommed, but my goodness what a waste some of these slots are! Then again, these are the same reactions I and others were having last year to people like Thaao Penghlis and Judi Evans getting prenommed, and then they actually got nominated!
It's good to see Alley Mills and Julie Pinson getting in.
But seriously, Renee Jones?! I love the woman, but how many scenes did she even have last year?
Yes Jones is crazy, through I can see here get nom because she does have a couple of good reels.
Forgive me but who is Bruce Weitz?
FYC Globe Voters: Steve Carrell (The 40 Year Old Virgin) For Lead Actor In A Comedy and The 40 Year Old Virgin For Best Comedy. Yeah I know, you laugh while watching this Comedy, but still put it on your ballot.
I'm not even going to mention the Y&R and OLTL pre-noms because I've already bitched about them enough.
Nice to see Alicia Minshew continuing her category fraud another year. In what world is she supporting on AMC?
I'm sad to see Jennifer Gareis not on the list. I thought she did alot of really great work in 2008. I expected her to get into Supporting with Heather Tom. Not upset to see Alley Mills, but disappointed that Gareis won't have a chance this year. Actually, as much as I love and respect Flannery, she should have sat out this year in favor of Gareis, or even Hunter Tylo, who did some really good stuff at the beginning of 2008.
Why even waste a pre-nom slot on Ronn Moss. I have a better chance at getting nominated than him. I can't imagine Jack Wagner is very happy about that.
I like that Crystal Chappell isn't one of those actresses that thinks just because she has gone lead before, she can't go back to supporting or it would be a step down. Good for her.
I know people like Carolyn Hennessy, and I do too, but I don't like her pre-nomination at the expense of Kimberly McCollough or Lisa LoCicero. And Bruce Weitz over Jason Thompson? Just plain bad.
At least GH didn't put Megan Ward forward again this year.
I think Darnell Williams and Debbie Morgan are two people to keep a close eye on. I definitely think they have the material to be big time contenders to win their categories.
